Services
We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate all of the details and the timeline for your cabinetry. There may be many moving pieces in the project- such as different finishes, upholstery, and metalwork. Additionally, we understand that our cabinetry may be a part of a much larger project. Because of this we send out weekly Project Status Reports so that all parties are on the same page, and we are meeting the critical path for the schedule.
We recently renovated an old home in the historic district of Chevy Chase and were referred by a friend to Ted Ferris and Ferris Custom Cabinetry for our kitchen and family room cabinetry. We found Ted and everyone at his company to be incredibly easy to work with and very professional. They listened closely to our questions and what we were looking for and delivered in every way.

We had our entire kitchen redone by Ferris and the product, timeliness, communication and quality were great. A big advantage for us was the ability to go to the actual workshop here in D.C. to see the cabinets, samples, and work in progress. We ordered both walnut and pointed cabinets and like the quality of product and installation as well. A++

I would not recommend Ferris Cabinetry. After 6 months, without so much as a courtesy call, the team dropped the ball and had full refund mailed to me after staff used insulting language.
Feedback around their design changes to my original architectural drawings were met with argument. For example, they had moved the refrigerator door to the point that it would have overlapped with the space for the range. Their response when I brought this up was that they didn't see it as a problem. I ended up going with a different experienced team who was not only trustworthy, but was able to submit drawings

Ferris Custom Cabinetry recently completed a custom bookcase surrounding a fireplace, with a sliding panel to hide the TV. Literally, we showed Ted one picture as inspiration and he came up with the perfect design for our space. From design, to proposal, to execution Ted and his team we absolute professionals. They were efficient and skilled, and handled a few small hiccups along the way with ease, without delaying our project. Ted and his team did a tremendous job for my custom home remodel. They did two sets of floor to ceiling custom cabinets, with a modern design. One set was particularly challenging with seamless concealed doors installed under a staircase, and they did an excellent job especially considering the various complexities of the job. They are reasonably priced given the quality of their work and attention to detail. Would definitely use Ferris Custom Cabinetry again!

Ted, Katie and the team are awesome. My custom cabinets look and function perfectly.
I had kitchen cabinets (including an 11 ft. island), wine cabinets, wet bar cabinets, living room cabinets (surrounding my fireplace), master bath cabinets, and master walk through closet cabinets that include a custom headboard/closet wall with storage. They all look awesome.
I highly recommend Ted and his team for all of your cabinet needs.

My wife and I hired Ted Ferris and his team to design built-in bookshelves for our house. Our house is 100+ years old, and we wanted to ensure the design and construction harmonized with the rest of the house.
