San Joaquin Glass was founded by Harvey McKenry, Jack Kilner & Joe Strosnyder in 1947. Originally located at 618 N Street in Downtown Fresno, they relocated to the current location in 1965 to make way for the Fresno Convention Center. In 1976, Robert Starr and Steve Salcedo became the new owners of San Joaquin Glass.

They are such a caring and professional business. I broke the glass in my daughter picture frame that was going all the way over to Okinawa Japan to the Marine base. They were so kind they had me bring it in and made it within 5 min so I could get it out in the mail on time. They are always perfect.

Made an inquiry re a screen door I needed installed. This was the response:
"Good afternoon, I wanted to contact you about the screen, we do not provide labor only to install screens. But if you are looking for an estimate on a new screen we can come out but we do charge an estimate fee if you are here in Fresno or Clovis it is $95.00. Or if you could send us pictures and sizes we can get you an estimate over the phone."
So, be aware, they charge just to come out and quote. and apparently they do not install. i cant imagine this is accurate, but FYI consumers.

Poor customer service. I call for a window repair at 7:30, call back with measurements @ 8:05 am to get a quote on window. I waited 2hrs call back was told the office was working on it. I Call back 3hrs later to be told quote is still not ready & would not be able to come out to repair my window today.
Very upset, I should have been told this in the beginning.

Spoke to Paula. Very rude lady. I told her I was looking at quotes from several companies and would let her know if I decide to go with them. She said that was fine. A day later, I let her know we decided on someone else. She said okay but they are still going to charge me for everything because they already ordered all the parts. Do NOT sign the quote until you are ready to do business with them. They will use it against you.

Excellent customer service and problem solving with me to remove a mirror wall by Dave. Once the bid was accepted, the scheduler sent Steve and his crew to remove 3 large mirrors covering my wall. The removed the mirrors without cracking or tearing the paper on my sheet rock very meticulously and disposed the material. They even gave me suggestion on how to remove mastic from wall. In and out quickly and professionally. I enjoyed working with this company and would highly recommend them.

I remodeled the bathrooms and called for an estimate to replace the wall to wall glass. First day no return call. Called second day made appt for estimator to come out. Came out asked what's the approx cost. Sorry we can't say need to call the office. Third call to office , my estimate was on the "bosses desk". Fourth call what's my estimate? Let me find it for you. Fifth call what's my estimate . Let me email it to you you sign it then we can call you back and schedule an install day. Couldn't quote me over the phone. I couldn't find out how long it would

Wonderful service! I highly recommend San Joaquin Glass and will get any glass I need in the future from this shop.
My large and rather robust dog had ran through our bedroom window on Christmas eve, right when the temperatures in the valley had dropped to 32F for the nightly lows. Called San Joaquin Glass on Monday afternoon at 3:30pm after the holiday weekend and asked them if they would be able to fit a piece of glass on our aluminium frame. They said sure and to bring it on in. Got to the shop at 4:15pm and with only 15 minutes left to close, handed them the window frame and payment. When

Had a custom order they said would take 4-6 weeks it took 10 weeks. Along the way they never once apologized, they could care less that it took so long. Spoke to Paula who was rude and all she cared about was getting my credit card to pay for the 2nd half of the payment. She told me if I don't get your credit card number NOW I an turning around the truck. She was rude and actually said she does not need to apologize for the order being so late since its not their fault....WOW...great CS.

Buyer beware. Requested service from San Joaquin Glass. Serviceman was incapable of making the repair; however, still was adamant about collecting a check before he left. We called to voice our concern to the manager and request a resolution but instead we were hung up on. Apparently, our requested repair couldn't be done. If that was the case, why did they send a serviceman over and charge us rather than quote us for their suggested fix? Luckily, a local competitor was able to do the requested repair with no issues.
