1. Frame the rough opening for the garage door to 3 inches wider than the garage door you have selected. 2. Measure the distance from the bottom plate of the wall to a point that is 1 1/2 inches higher that the garage door height. Cut four 2 x 4 trimmers to this length and nail two each to either side of the rough opening.

While backing out of my garage, my garage door opener fell and hit something that turned it on as I was in reverse. The top of my SUV hit the steel door and it bent. I pulled forward quickly when I realized what happened but could not get the door up or down. My neighbor helped me get the door up enough that I could back out. Precision Door came out quickly and had a new door installed within three days which pleased me because my house abuts a forest. Adam was courteous and efficient. We bought our new home in Knoxville knowing that the garage door to the home was in poor but workable shape. At least that’s what we thought, because 3 days after we moved in, the garage door motor started to get bound up and smoke started coming out of it. We found Precision Door Service on google and gave them a call. Tommy came out and gave us an estimate. He showed us all different types of doors and options to choose from. Tommy told us it would more than likely take 6-8 weeks to get the parts in and to schedule the job. He was very accurate with his estimate, because about 2 months later

We have worked with Precision twice now, the first time was on an investment property and just today they took care of an issue we were having here at our house. Precision is incredibly responsive, I called today and they had someone out by 1pm and he immediately began working to get us taken care of. Today we worked with Patrick, if you call in I would definitely encourage you to request him although I am sure all of their reps are excellent. Patrick walked me thru everything he planned on doing, was honest in that we could hold off on repairs for our other door for a time being which is great

This morning our garage door spring decided to break at 9am leaving my husband and I stuck with two cars inside of our garage… My husband called his friend Josh at Precision Door. Within 2 hours, Precision Door sent a repairman, Michael Hall, to the rescue. He had everything fixed and all new in a couple of hours. The service was great! We really appreciated the timely response to a 9am emergency call from my husband. Everything was fixed and the cars were freed! Highly recommend their services!

Michael was fantastic! He was at my house less than two hours after I left a message that I needed assistance with a garage door opener. He quickly assessed the situation and gave me sound advice for both of my openers. In addition, he took my schedule into account and agreed to come back later in the day to complete the work. He worked well after dark to be sure that the work was done well and that all was safe. Even programmed the remotes to the car. I really appreciate the responsiveness, the professional service, and the attention to the customer!

John and Tom from Precision Doors came and installed 2 new doors yesterday, they did and excellent job , they fitted and adjusted the doors and reconnected the electric openers, made sure everything was working properly and left my place clean. I could tell from the start they have done this a long time because they were organized and they had a method they each knew exactly what to do.
