The difference between my company and larger companies is simple. I only specialize in repairs whereas larger companies are geared towards entire yards and will try and sell you a new fence when all you really need is a simple repair. They also have to keep multiple crews employed which in turn brings that cost to you.
Do I need to be present for the estimate? It is usually helpful so that any questions you or the estimator may have about the fence style or location can be answered at that time. If it is not convenient for you to be present during the appointment, your estimator will still be able to view the property and then discuss the fence with you by phone.
When getting a pool installed/Shed installs/ or landscaping that requires large machinery to be able to fit into your yard, Fence on the Mend has a (2) Trip package special. The first trip would be to remove the fencing material the proper way. The return trip which is included in the set price would be to reinstall your material the proper way once the work has been completed.

Horrible response time. They didn’t want to take the job due to the “neighborhood”. Which I took as racial. Team gets out here though & they stood around for 4 hours just to say they can’t fix the fence post it’ll have to be replaced. Stevie wonder could see that. Unprofessional as well they had a “new guy” with no experience at all. I don’t want anyone touching my property for their “training experience”. Go train them somewhere else not on a customers property fence.

Fence on the Mend did a wonderful job for me! John, the owner, built a new gate and repaired/leveled another gate where it now fully opens and closes properly and replaced a few pixels. This company was recommended to us from a local fence company. We had them come in to take down a fence post and 2 panels of our 2 year old fence to have some yard work done. First off we were charged for removing two sections and two posts when only one post was removed. Then to reinstall the same sections and the same posts on the second trip. Only one post was removed of which was sawed off and then replaced making the post unstable and the damage to the crossbeams was so severe we had to call them back to replace them. They would not replace the damaged post. We have to have it replaced once

These guys are awesome. The whole team was very responsive with communication and quick to complete the job when we had some storm/wind damage. We moved about a year ago to a house with a fairly old fence, and replacing the entire thing is just not within the budget right now! Thankfully this service exists, and it was super easy to work with them. They even offered to come within a window that wouldn't conflict with a family party we had planned in advance, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately due to the age of our fence we may need to call on them again in the future, but we feel fortunate

I contacted them and they got back to me to say: 1) they are scheduling out work up to a month in advance, 2) provided a suggested route for me through home advisor's site to find a pro for my needs. I appreciated that they were considerate enough to respond. Many businesses don't even do that much.
