I'm a native Pittsburgher and I began my career in 2007 as a design intern while completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. One aspect of designing for clients that I love is getting to know them on a personal level. I enjoy spending free time walking through Frick Park with my two kids & Great Dane, Jackie as well as shopping and visiting museums, art galleries and Pittsburgh's finest dives.
Abby has been working as a designer in Pittsburgh since earning her Master of Interior Architecture in 2018. She loves to build functional, welcoming spaces around organic textures and deep, earthy tones. Currently, she's enjoying subtle 80s throwbacks and drinking fresh margaritas on her patio. Emi received her BFA with a Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from The Pennsylvania State University in 2020.

I was introduced to BCD as part of the design process for a new construction project in Lawrenceville. When my husband and I moved out of the city I knew right away I wanted to work with Lauren again! Lauren’s eye for making everything in a room coordinate and flow is fantastic. Lauren listens to your wants and makes designing such a stress free and easy process! Can’t say enough about Black Cherry Design!
