MSD was brought on to design the interior amenity spaces of a newly constructed residential apartment building in Ann Arbor, near the University of Michigan. We were inspired by the existing industrial aesthetic of the space, but of course added touches of whimsy, color and humor to appeal to college students and young professionals.
Michael Shannon Designs is a full-service Interior Design firm located in Center City Philadelphia. Over the last 20 years, the firm has worked with over 300 clients on a range of small to large scale projects, including private residences, professional firms and organizations, non-profits, businesses and educational institutions.
Most recently we've taken the mixed-use commercial, multi-family and student housing market by storm. We begin our process by identifying the specific goals of each unique project, the needs and wants of the client and the limitations of the space. An expert understanding of three-dimensional space and an appreciation for practical, functional, and comfortable interiors are what make working with MSD worthwhile.

You're inspired to redesign your space, but worry about making expensive mistakes. You'd love to buy some art, but the process intimidates you. You'd kill for the wallpaper you saw in the latest issue of Elle Dcor but don't know where to get it. What if you could bounce ideas off an interior designer without a long-term commitment?
