Maybe it's time to build your dream house. Or generate more profits with a renovated commercial building. You know it's going to take planning. But it's not easy when money is tight. And you'll probably be living with your new construction for a long time, so mistakes can be costly for your future and your pocketbook.

As you research your project, you may be surprised to discover that the difference between mediocre and excellent construction has little to do with the cost of materials. The major differences in cost and quality are found in architectural design principles and construction methods. So, if you're thinking of expert architectural help for your project, call Dan Berkhoudt, Architect.

He offers you the expertise you'll need to turn your vision into space that fits your lifestyle or business. In the end, your building or renovation succeeds only if it works for you. Dan is licensed and registered in New York State and fully insured. Take advantage of his experience in design and construction to help you get it done right the first time, saving you time, money, and aggravation.
Services
Dan Berkhoudt, AIA, LEED-AP started his new firm, D. Berkhoudt, Architect in early 2013. Before that, he was a principal in the firm, Innovative Designs Engineering and Architecture. He and Tom Davis, P.E., started Innovative Designs Engineering and Architecture (IDEA) in 2009. The firm helped plan, design, and implement construction projects in the Utica Rome area and the rest of the Mohawk Valley and Central NY.
At first we talk with our clients about their idea. What they have to work with and where they want to go with their project. Many of them are on a tight budget so we're here to guide them, to help them get the most out of their project. We talk about funding, do feasibility studies, and discuss construction costs.
We'll perform or assist with feasibility studies, facilities planning, site analysis, budgeting, and environmental impact analysis. You'll know up front if your project will work, the problems you may encounter, or if your financing is in line with current construction costs. This is where the project starts to take shape.

Report
We asked this architect to tell us about the a specific structure-about anything unsafe with regards to the beams and overall issues with the house-we paid 240$ for a very short and seemingly incomplete report-I do not recommend this guy for anything!
