Avenue Road
An intriguing address, a non-sequitur name, AVENUE ROAD evokes somewhere you can't put your finger on. Perhaps that's because it isn't one place but many design destinations. No matter which one you find yourself in, you can be certain to expect the unexpected. For curator Stephan Weishaupt, design is about relationships.

Weishaupt's intuition, world view, and above all, affinity for connecting people is what helps him bring the best of the world of design together into a truly original experience. Born and raised in Munich, Weishaupt's relationship with his family - a long line of entrepreneurs, architects and carpenters - imparted his insatiable curiosity and appreciation of art and design.

His friendship with design legends George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg ignited the idea for a curated design experience that would bring undiscovered global talent to North America.

Sebastian Herkner is globally recognized for his tactful ability to push the boundaries of product design, with a sensitivity to materiality that extends beyond his years. He possesses a unique ability to merge cultural contexts with a progressive approach that also embraces traditional craftsmanship which ultimately highlights details that would normally go unnoticed.
With her self-described "modern, eclectically glamourous" style, Gillian Segal was a serendipitous fit to take on this Vancouver residential project for a well travelled design lover. In the beach-side Kitsilano neighborhood sat a traditional craftsmen style home, a true relic of the 90s when it was built-- until Gillian Segal and her team completely transformed it for the retired empty nester home owner.

I purchased lounge chairs and a table from this stunning designer furniture store and was blown away by the service and the quality of their products. They carry unique contemporary pieces for every room in the house. The bright and expansive showroom is gorgeous, curated like an art gallery. From the first time I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by the sales representative Adam, who helped me in selecting pieces that were perfect for the room that I was furnishing. He gave me invaluable suggestions about fabrics, colours and design that would complement the rest of my room décor. He and Melanie

Wow!! Wow!! Their curated furniture and accessories are STUNNING! The nicest I've ever seen and the quality is out of this world. The designers and craftsmen (and women) that they work with must be some of the best in the entire world. Everything is absolutely perfect and so is their customer service. The showroom is jaw droppingly gorgeous. They sell all kinds of items that aren't featured on the floor or the website but they have brand specialists that can find or create what you're looking for. I've never seen a place like it and never experienced such great service. It doesn't get more amazing

I'd like the shopping experience more to visiting a beautiful modern art gallery than a furniture store.

They carry good lines. You’ll always see something you love but never expected to. Which can be a good or not so good thing depending on your reno budget. Beautiful pieces all over the showroom.
