Hawaii Kitchen & Bath
Hawaii Kitchen & Bath, a Kailua-based production shop, has been serving Hawaii for over 20 years, specializing in kitchen and bath countertops, custom solid surface shower pans, shower & tub walls, and custom cabinet production for residential & commercial projects. Over the past few years, Hawaii Kitchen & Bath has been focusing mainly on cabinet production, bringing locally fabricated European style cabinetry to the industry.

Jayme Thompson and Cris Johnson established Hawaii Kitchen & Bath in 1997. Both have worked in the industry prior to this partnership, bringing almost thirty years of experience to the company. This family-type business consists of experienced individuals trained specifically in the countertop and cabinet trades including Kevin San Miguel, lead fabricator & installer for over 15 years.
Services
Our Custom Cabinet Line, IslandModern, is fabricated locally in Kailua. Our high quality, European style cabinetry (frameless), consists of maple plywood interior box construction, which includes an insect-resistant soy adhesive (adds protection against termites and other wood-boring insects), soft-close hardware, and various options for colors, finishes (textured melamine, wood veneers, high gloss, ultra matte) and interior cabinet accessories.
Solid Surface is a man-made material manufactured from 100% acrylic, with some brands having a polyester blend. Solid Surface is non-porous, stain and scratch resistant, and easy to maintain. Due to its properties, Solid Surface offers more design options and flexibility than other countertop materials for kitchens and baths.
Quartz is a man-made material (engineered stone) manufactured from quartz, one of the hardest minerals on Earth. Quartz material is strong, durable, nonporous, and nonabsorbent, making it the ideal surface for kitchens and baths. Starting in 2021, Hawaii Kitchen & Bath will offer Quartz countertops with cabinet projects only.
Estimates for cabinets and countertops can be obtained via email by sending your plans/drawings for an initial budget. Viewing of cabinet samples and having virtual meetings can be scheduled via Zoom or FaceTime. Although these don't replace the actual viewing of samples in person, they offer an alternative to get the discussion started while we wait for the green light to take in-office appointments again.
