The owner had asked me very nicely to set up crane and chipper in my driveway for the day. This was the best way for them to extract trees from my neighbors yard. I agreed as long as was careful. I knew I was in trouble as soon as he parked his old rusty crane in my then brand new driveway without using any thing to protect it. So I waited for them to complete the job to assess the damage. The first thing I noticed was that my driveway was literally covered hydraulic fluid from the crane’s lack of service. Not just a few spots, but an entire 300sq. ft. area of my new driveway. I am the neighbor of customer and i went outside to find that the owner, Larry, pulled a huge crane on to my lawn so they could cut a big maple next door down.
that crane put very deep ruts into my side lawn. I was going to call the Mentor Police Department and charge him with trespass and property damage when he apologized, said he did not know it was my property, and promised to fix the ruts. Since the damage was already done, I allowed him to finish cutting down the tree with the crane in my yard. That was the week before July 4, 2019. Today is Aug. 1 and it is still not fixed. I have sent four
