Heather was raised by an artist and grew up surrounded by art and antiques. After beginning her design career as a founding partner in Pentimento Interiors, she launched Heather Vaughan Design in 2007 with a focus on bespoke interior design. Heather is a creative, energetic problem-solver with excellent listening skills.
She and her team bring a spirit of collaboration to every design project they undertake. They have close, lasting relationships with the artisans who produce the one of a kind pieces that are so iconic to her work. More than that, the team's abiding mission is to partner with clients to co-create beautiful and timeless spaces.
Monica earned her Bachelors of Science degree in interior design and a Masters of Science in management from Mount Ida College. She has been focused on a design career since she was 12 years old. As the newest member of the team, Monica's role includes handling orders, communicating with vendors, helping with presentations, and maintaining Heather's media and online presence.

The question for us is always: How do we solve a particular design challenge? Often, the answer involves the custom creation of a fabric, piece of furniture or built-ins using finishes or color ways uniquely suited to you and your home. This attention to detail, the ability to envision and then create exactly what's called for or craft a one of a kind piece, is bespoke design.
I like to think of Heather as the 'Michelangelo' of space and design. Like the sculpture's block of marble, Heather carves around the outer limits of space, and releases one's desired aesthetic and personal idiom. She is, without exception, a 'hands-on' and available presence, while managing, overseeing, and organizing every aspect of the work.
