Services
The history of our company dates back to 1943 San Francisco. Like most Americans during the depression Charlie Yates struggled to make ends meet. As an employee at a hardware store, Charlie started a side business selling and installing door closers door to door in the city. Charlie's hard work and success lead to the opportunity to become an independent sales agent for Von Duprin products in 1944.
Von Duprin's beginnings were based in solving a serious problem. In 1903, tragedy struck the Iroquois Theatre in Chicago when nearly 600 people lost their lives due, in part, to locked exit doors. The doors were locked to keep out those who did not pay to see the show, but in doing so, prevented those inside from escaping should anything go wrong.
LCN's Electrohydraulic Powered Systems are designed to offer ordinary rack and pinion door closer operation while at the same time providing on-demand push button, automatic door operation. All electrical functions are provided by an integrated digital control suite. Everything is self-contained apart from actuators, which are needed to complete the system.
LCN Pneumatic Powered Systems utilize the power of air under pressure to automatically open the door. The pneumatic system is built around a standard closer so you can manually operate the door with ease or utilize the automation provided by the pneumatic cylinder. Because it uses air instead of electronics, it can be used in hazardous applications where electronics cannot.
When you have a pair of doors where one leaf is active and has a door closer installed, the PAH 60 Arm Assembly is designed for installation on the inactive leaf. This standard holder can be used on left or right handed swinging doors and comes in either a standard or custom powder coat finishes. An optional SRI primer is available for installation in corrosive environments.
