Creative Cabinetry Founder, Mike Gleason, has extensive experience in wood products and construction. He received his Chemical Engineering degree from LSU and MBA from Duke University. He managed paper mills early in his career, but after building his own custom house in Long Point of the Omni Plantation, he was able to gain exposure to every aspect of residential construction.
Mike decided in 2003 to move on from his paper/pulp mill career and start Kempsville Custom Cabinets, which later became Creative Cabinetry. The choice to change the name of the company came after feedback that "custom" was perceived as "expensive."
