I have been using these words to guide my decorating for 23 years. My aim is to implement the client's style, not my own. If my clients are unsure of their own style, I take the time to help them develop a sense of what they are comfortable with and how they want their house to look. This process is both rewarding and enjoyable for the clients.
If my client is not having fun, I'm not doing my job! My clients range from young couples just starting out to mature, sophisticated homeowners who want a timeless, elegant look incorporating treasures collected over the years. I have decorated every type of house from simple, comfortable cottages to historic houses and plantations.
Many of these projects have included extensive renovations, for which I have designed and overseen construction. While most of my work is residential, my commercial work can be seen in the recent renovations of the three main buildings, including the Dining Hall and the 2010 Cafe, at St. Catherine's School, Richmond.
