The most popular place for a barn door is the awkward master bathroom/bedroom opening where there is either no door separating the two or a very narrow door space that makes traffic between the rooms less than ideal. People also love to add a barn door in the master bedroom to create privacy, keep things quiet, and block out light if one person is awake earlier in the morning.
All of our doors are hand crafted in our North Kansas City shop so there is some wait time. Our goal is quality craftsmanship which generally takes 6-10 weeks for production time. Freight shipping can add an addition 3-5 business days. All of our times are ESTIMATES and not guaranteed or by any means a commitment.
We provide consultation services to help determine the best size and style door for the space. Our partners receive a 20% off promo code OR a 20% cash back on all barn doors and hardware. Online, in person, over the phone, or if you have a showroom we would be happy to come to you! We only need a small area to display a few of our "mini doors" and hardware options as shown below.
All of our doors are custom built in our shop to fit your specific door opening and design. We offer local on-site measurement consultations for an additional fee based on where you are located. To avoid any fees, feel free to email us photos of your space and we will happily assist virtually! We offer a variety of different hardware options and customization's, so most likely the answer is YES.

We ordered a custom barn door and had a great experience with Walston. Unfortunately the first door was damaged in transit but they acted quickly to handle the claim, make a new door and ship via a new carrier and kept me continuously updated during the process. The new door arrived in great condition and my contractor was able to install it in just a few hours. Would highly recommend Walston!!

We had some glass panel French Doors that were somehow always in the way. So, we decided to change them out for some barn doors. I looked in stores and online… I saw lots of vintage looking barn doors. I wanted something more modern. My Mom actually found these doors from Walston Door Company, and it was love at first sight! Caleb Walston helped me make sure my measurements were right - none of the other websites could have helped me with that, especially since we were dealing with Double Barn Doors. Was happily surprised to receive this white oak door from Walston Door Company to install in our master bedroom. I wasn’t sure what to expect bc the entire purchase was done online without swatches or seeing any of their work in person, but the door is gigantic, the wood coloring is very neutral with no yellow/orange tones that can sometimes happen with oak, and we’ve gotten lots of compliments on it.
