Ants are a very successful group of insects that live in colonies and just like us they need to have a home and a place to eat. Today ants are the most important and most difficult to control when it comes to pests that invade our homes and work place. You may have seen ants moving their colony before they will move all the eggs, larvae, pupae and queens.
For the most part bees, hornets and wasps are a beneficial group of insects. They are the largest group of pollinators we have for our flowering plants as well as reducing many insect pests. But they are also a danger to those who have allergic reactions to their stings. So there are times control measures are needed such as when there is an immediate threat to people their pets, or when peace of mind is required.
Rats and mice have adapted themselves well to living with humans in the same environment, this is why you may have heard the term commensal rodents. This is used to describe rodents that are generally found living in close association with humans and very often dependent upon us for their food, water and harborage.

Been with Maine's Best for over a year and extremely happy with their services. Ken and Pete care about customer service and take the time and get to know you along with your property. With Corporate entities they only care about the bottom line as experienced in the past. I strongly reccomend Maine's Best.

Jacob was very thorough in his initial investigation of our home. He sealed up multiple entry points for rodents. Yuck!! He was very friendly, professional and informative. He even removed two dead rodents for me. Yuck! He couldn't do the spraying for insects today because of windy conditions, but promised to come back on a less windy day. He is due to follow up on the rodent issue in two weeks. I am super grateful to Jacob and Maine's Best!
