He was a charter member of one of the first glazier unions, Union # 1087; his was the eleventh name on the charter! Joseph's son Larry Hill became a glazier in the 1930's and joined the Brooklyn glaziers union.

From day 1 the communications has always been there. They are very professional and were very helpful in deciding what I wanted. They guided me in the opposite way on what I originally wanted and it all made sense to me. When it came to the installation day they were so nice and polite and cleaned up after themselves. What a pleasure. Now I can't wait to do the next bathroom.

I had a very positive experience with the Shower Door. When I visited the store, the salesperson was very knowledge and explained all of the options for my frameless shower door. After I left the store, she was extremely responsive to all of my follow up questions. The custom door was ready in a few weeks, and the installers were efficient, neat, and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend.

Our experience at the store in Mineola was excellent. The saleswoman helped us pick out one of the best sliding doors in the showroom and was efficient and knowledgeable. Jhon, the installer, came to our place to install the door about 3 weeks later. He is experienced and friendly and did a great job with the installation. We were very pleased with his work. The door is beautiful and looks amazing in our new bathroom.
I would definitely recommend The Shower Door for your future needs at one of their 3 Long Island locations.

Avoid this place at all costs. When the installer came to install our new shower door, the technician said he could not do it without doing substantial damage to our tiles. Since we did not want to redo the entire bathroom, we told him not to do it. The salesperson (owner?) Al said he wouldn't take the door back, even though it was not taken out of the box. What good is a shower door if it can't be installed? He would not refund any of our money, including the ridiculous $75 fee to bring the old door to the curb. IMHO, there should be no charge to bring the old door to the dump

We are very happy with the service from the Shower Door in Seaford NY on Merrick Road. We placed our order with ease and it was delieverd in a week. The installers were very courteous, quick and neat. They cleaned up after they were finished. Great Job Rob and Jhon. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Awesome.

Don't even deserve a star! So so sorry I went with local town company then to order on line for so much less money! Woman employee in MASSAPEQUA Location was rude and hung up the phone on me when I told her they should not send shower doors to be installed without all the parts! Not very professional that I have doors with out handles! No apology no phone call back until we had to contact them! Joe H maybe u should know how this woman is ruining business for you! What a shame after 80 years in business

Fast and efficient, Rob and Thom did an excellent job of replacing an existing set of shower doors. In and out in 45 minutes, you wouldn't have known they were there other than the excellent installation job they did. Every square foot in the house that they may have stepped on was completely covered by drop cloths and they did a thorough vacuuming when they were done. I'm a fan!

Horrible customer service. Just wanted a replacement 3/8" door sweep for my frameless shower door. I had the existing cracked sweep with me so all I wanted was exact same length cut. Woman at counter (seemed like manager or owner) told me she'd sell me a a strip but I'd have to cut it down with a hacksaw myself! Or get the installer back in ($$$). Are you kidding me? She insisted that no shower door place would cut it for me.

The Shower Door came highly recommended to me. I was initially pleased but they're not too good on communication! I had to call them for a status update (after 10 days)! When I did call, a female manager tried to give me a run-around excuse but I demanded to receive a call back from the original person I dealt with. He did call me right back & put everything back on track. The doors were installed a few days later.
I was also not too happy about having to call them the night before the install for a time frame. They should have notified me.

We decided to get a new trackless shower door in our Master Bathroom.
We wanted to go locally. Shower Door was our choice. Filamena showed us a variety of door types within our price range. The technicians came to measure twice to make sure the door fit right. Except for a minor glitch made by the factory that postponed the installation. all else went well. T-Bone and Bacon made the installation seem seamless. They were courteous, professional and neat. The door looks great and operates smoothly. Great Job!

Went to purchase a shower door this past Saturday afternoon. We realized within the hour that we didn't want to make this purchase. The Shower Door Company was closed. It was closed on Sunday too! I called when the store opened today Monday, 9/25 10 AM and Phil answered the telephone. I explained what happened & nothing could have prepared me for how I was going to be treated. Phil says you need to learn to read contracts better. I said that we changed our minds bur store was closed until now. Phil did not care. He said all credit card orders 10% is taken off the refund from their credit

My experience at first was excellent. I called explained my needs about my bathroom and was warmly greeted, then scheduled and the gal followed up. The next week for the actual apt I was called and told many things a customer does not need to know about the intricate workings of a businesses problems. I was told they are short staffed, someone called in and they have to reschedule me again not their other customers as its been some time I have used them. The professionalism on the phone was non existent, the language and verbal discussion caused me to terminate the phone call and end my relationship
