Services
Tim's carpentry experience goes back over 25 years to when he began framing with a home-building team of experts. He worked framing custom and semi-custom homes in Pennsylvania and Delaware where he learned speed and accuracy. Framing homes gave him experience in figuring and cutting lumber, installing windows and doors, building staircases, roofing and general carpentry skills.
If you're interested in having us do a project for you, we begin by meeting with you at your home to look over the project. Tim, the owner of the company, will sit down with you to assess your needs and ideas. Once the design and estimate agreed upon and we have a signed contract, we will take care of getting any necessary permits.
Home additions are quite possibly the best way to improve not only the style of your home, but also its value. Here at TLS Carpentry, we love providing top quality home additions for our customers. Since 2004, we have been transforming homes to create one-of-a-kind living spaces, both indoor and outdoor.

A friend and neighbor had TLS put a new screened porch on for her many years ago, which I have always loved. When I was looking to put a similar porch over my existing concrete slab, she didn't hesitate to recommend TLS. Tim was easy to work with, provided a clear estimate and drawings of the plan, as well as fair pricing. Steve supervised the project and was professional, friendly and kept us informed along the way. One of my favorite parts of the project was that it took less than 4 weeks from start to finish.

We hired TLS to build a covered deck on the back of our house. From the start Tim was very responsive in getting our ideas on paper and even showed us the exact model of what the build would look like when completed. His crew came in and finished the job in 3 weeks during 2 major snow storms. The deck looks amazing and we couldn't be any happier. We have been using TLS carpentry at our home for about 10 years to do projects large and small. They have done wainscoting, crown molding, attic stairs and complete remodel projects for us such as a complete basement finishing project last year and a master bath remodel that finished up today. Tim completed our outdoor pavilion over 10 years ago and we still LOVE it and would absolutely hire him again to do any of our carpentry/outdoor projects. We hired TLS Carpentry over 10 years ago to create our pavilion. Tim used a unique type of wood for our ceiling and took our rough 'plans' to create a lovely outdoor space. Even 10 years later this outdoor 'room' is still my favorite part of the house and we have had no issues with Tim's work. He does a quality job, the first time. Our old deck that was built over 10 years ago by a previous homeowner was falling part with rotted wood. On top of this, during its replacement we found that the previous contractor didn’t use flashing where the deck met the house and our exterior walls were rotted and in bad shape as a result!

TLS built our new composite deck over the summer and did a phenomenal job. They had a virtual tool that showed us how the deck would look on our house as part of their quote and Tim's knowledge really showed when we were discussing options. We ended up going with lighted posted and flared steps and everything could not look better. We had a party over the summer and got a ton of compliments.

Tim was referred to me from my neighbor they are an engineering and an interior designer, because I know they are pickier then me, so I truly trusted their choice. Tim he finished our basement less then 6 weeks including township permits (gym, family room, full bathroom and bedroom) and did an excellent job. He made sure everything was up to or exceeded code, his crew treated our home like their own, they always vacuum and clean up after they done and never leave any lights on or windows open when they leave the house, was fairly priced and always professional.
