Services
We are specialized truckers, machinery movers, riggers and machinery erectors with vast experience in moving boilers, chillers, water towers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, generators, electrical cabinets, printing equipment, plastic molding machinery, textile machinery, machine tools, die cutters, computer equipment, food processing equipment and recycling equipment.
Standard Cartage's original owner founded it as a trucking company in the Chicago area in the 1930s. In the 1950s, William Stoub bought Standard Cartage and it is currently owned by one of his sons and two of his grandsons. Early on, Standard found a niche moving printing equipment for printers located in and around the Chicago Loop, including the Printer's Row neighborhood.
Our location includes a 37,000 square foot warehouse which is kept at 45 degrees during the winter months. It is protected by a sprinkler system and burglar alarm system. This space allows us to receive equipment here, enabling us to make moves go more smoothly as valuable time and money are not wasted on the jobsite waiting for the delivery of equipment.
