Nordaas American Homes has been in business since 1949. Founded by Haakon Nordaas, a Norwegian immigrant, the company began designing and building custom homes throughtout the Upper Midwest. In 1989 Nordaas was purchased by long time employee Mike Redig. Along with his wife, Pat, Mike has seen the company continue to thrive.
Nordaas American Homes is a custom home builder that designs and builds in the States of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota and Nebraska. Our design center and showroom is located in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Nordaas provides a "no obligation" meeting to discuss design and pricing.
Since 1949, Nordaas American Homes has built hundreds of homes in the upper Midwest. Nordaas has a collection of home floor plans that we have designed to meet our clients specific needs, wants, and budget. Selecting the perfect floor plan can be challenging, but our team is here to assist. Our experienced design team is very creative in personalizing plans and will guide you through the process.

Several years ago our family entered into an agreement with Nordaas Homes our home was going to be demolished and Nordaas was going to build us a new home. We spent considerable amount of money in obtaining permits, securing a loan, getting insurance, land survey, etc. After our old house was torn down it turned out that the soil was not suitable to build a new home. Nordaas never discussed with us that possibility. We were left without a home. We ended up buying a new house and our family has overcome the loss of our old home. When I tried to contact Todd Redig about getting back our $ 1,000.00

Awesome experience and such a nice family. They were so helpful and built us a beautiful cabin. We acted as general contractors and they were stellar in communication and delivered on all tasks. The plans were easy to navigate and they made all changes we requested. Great materials, construction and a superb value. Thanks Todd, you are great at what you do!
