Lance Abel has over 25 years of professional sales and management experience. He was introduced to new homebuilding in 1996 in Houston, where he worked until 2009. In 2009, Lance started Mill Creek Custom Homes in Bellville, Texas with a passion to bring his extensive knowledge, experience, and design flair to the central Texas area, where he and his family moved in 2007.

Welcome to the Traditional Homes of floor plans - the very foundation of Mill Creek Custom Homes! These plans encompass design styles like Craftsman, Hill Country, Ranch and venture into the Mediterranean/Tuscan, and French Country palettes. It's hard not to find what you're looking for in the Traditional Homes designs.
The Modern Farmhouses are our venture into the popular and nostalgic "rustic but modern" feel, crafted into every plan. Achieving a fabulous farmhouse style is easy with our list of standard features that include large porches, wood-cased windows and doors, Apron-front kitchen sink and bead board wainscoting throughout the home.

We used Mill Creek Homes to build our forever home last year. I cannot express how miserable this experience was from start to finish. From the top (Lance) down these tricksters were unprofessional, arrogant, and downright ugly to work with. If we could go back in time, I should of just subcontracted the house out myself to save all the heartache. Even when you raise an issue with them, they keep pushing forward blind not caring about obvious design flaws that cost both them and us in time/materials. Google needs to give us the ability to give zero stars as it took everything in me to click one

We had someone from the company come out to look at adding an covered outdoor area to our backyard. Right off the bat, the guy just seemed rude and didn’t even introduce himself. When he got here, my dad mentioned multiple times that we have a dog in the backyard and asked if he could please keep the gate shut when going in and out because he will run out if the gate is open too long. Well the guy didn’t listen and left the gate open and let our dog out. He has been missing for almost 2 days now and we are devastated. The guy didn’t even apologize or offer to help catch him. I know accidents

Very disappointed with the professionalism and transparency of this builder. As soon as we had paid our down payment to start the design process there were problems. Several misquoted bids on various major aspects of our home that arose of course after our initial down payment. We would have had to come to the final table and take a 45,000 loss in cash to cover what the bank (their recommended bank) said would not meet appraisal. We will be closing on our new home in a few weeks with another builder out of Montgomery county we have had the pleasure to work with. Adding more slab square footage
