The Master Locksmith began in 1996 out of the back of a Colt Vista, when Greg Rash couldn't find work in the local Sequim area in his field of expertise - locksmithing. Knowing he wanted to settle in the area, and after commuting for several weeks to Seattle where he worked as a sales rep for a locksmith wholesaler, he used his many years of expertise in locksmithing and open a locksmith shop in Sequim.
The Master Locksmith specializes in commercial locksmith and security work; for businesses including government buildings and institutions. The Master Locksmith can help you solve a variety of problems that require security solutions. From changing your locks site-wide to the setup and maintenance of master key systems; allowing a variety of levels of access for your employees.
We've been working with Emtek products since 1999. We were the first company to introduce this decorative product line to our customers on the North Olympic Peninsula. Why do we like Emtek products? Emtek was first introduced as a decorative door hardware which was competing with the likes of Baldwin and other decorative door hardware companies.
The Master Locksmith can help you find and get your preferred safe, delivered and installed (if needed). We deal with all kinds of safes, both residential and commercial, including gun, floor, home security and media as well as cash safes for commercial use. Safes are one of the few products that people often think of as a "buy one fits all" product.
One of the services that we offer is to educate our clientele about various issues that come up. We believe consumer education is very valuable, and in keeping our community informed, we can help prevent price shock or misunderstandings in the future. When the transponder key first appeared on the market and customers were coming in with only one key, we were met with shock and disbelief about the price to make a second key.

We had a problem with our front door lock just a few days after moving in to our new home. It was a lock unlike I'd ever seen or experienced before...not your typical Home Depot brand lock. Greg knew from my description that it was a very expensive to replace mortise lock. He thought it might need to have a new cartridge ($300-$400) and an undetermined amout of time to get parts. He came out and determined that he could repair it on the spot and replacement was not necessary. $125 for the house call and labor was more than fair. We are happy customers.

The Master Locksmith was of great help to me in a pinch. I was putting my house up for sale but couldn't get the front door dead bolt to lock and unlock so that real estate agents could access the house with the key in the lock box. Master Locksmith came promptly and fixed the lock so that it works as expected. Thanks guys!

We have been happy with the work they have done on our large commercial building. The most recent improvement was the installation of "crash bars" on our exit doors, making our building safer for all who use it. They are always courteous and professional. On a personal note, they helped me get a new key fob and program it for my car. Every key copy they make works, unlike some other places around town that are not as careful cutting keys.
