There were mistakes in the contract, and when the rep, eli azizi, tried to get in touch with me he didn't explain that situation. what he did do, is call, leave no message , and when i called back novel said he didn't work there any more. these calls were , i think, an attempt to correct the issue, but the rep was unable or unwilling to tell me what had happened. he did come to my house, but without ringing my doorbell or knocking, he stood on my lawn screaming my given name"christine". seriously, would anyone respond to that? so, as a result, i am paying for work that was

Update: Please look up their court records to see how many previous clients and previous employees they had tried to sue. That's their whole business model at this point. Definitely very "novel"!

First of all, look at their license. For us they used license 908461. Look at it on the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) website and see the dumpster fire of complaints. And if you want to hear the nightmare we had, read on.

Although the replacement of our kitchen cabinets isn't finished, I am very satisfied with all aspects of the project thus far. Mr. David, as well as his builders, are courteous, polite, knowledgeable and very professional. They show up on time and do what they say they are going to do. They also worked around my schedule. We recently had our master bathroom completely remodeled. We bought our home 25 years ago & this is our second big renovation after our kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. They removed the mini-Jacuzzi we had & replaced it with a walk-in shower & tub. Our floor & wall tile were replaced & a flat screen tv installed on our wall. Horrible experience. I contacted Novell because of their ratings for a quote to repair and paint the outside of the house and siding. I had Ben come out to my house and he gave me a ridiculous price. I said no thank you and made a call to my uncle who is a contractor. He gave me a rough idea on how much a job like that should be and his price was not it. While i spoke to him, my wife spoke to Ben about the flooring I needed done at the house. He gave me a price that was the down payment on a house. I understand that they are a contractor and subcontract out the work, so it will be higher

This is our first time contacting a remodeling company, and we were extremely nervous as the bathroom remodel we where trying to do had setbacks. After researching various companies, Novel was chosen because of their ability to accommodate people with accessibility issues (Disabled and Elderly) and had commonsense protocols dealing with the Covid-19 issue. Spending $10k+ on a project was definitely the biggest remodeling project I have ever done in my 5 years of being a homeowner. I had the project bid by 5 parties and not only was Novel Remodeling the most reasonable, Ben, the project manager made all my anxiety go away. They knocked the job out in half the time they said they would, left no mess and everyone says how amazing the remodel looks. His team did a huge island with a waterfall edge, two kitchen counters, the matching backsplash and two bathroom counters all with matching granite. Where can I start -- they were friendly and charming when pitching the job to me. I had purchased Ikea cabinets and provided all appliances for the kitchen remodel. They damaged by new GE profile range, and failed to modify the gas line, so the range stuck out beyond the cabinets. Installed the cabinets round my frig too low, and then shoved the frig under it, distorting the upper cabinet. Installed 12 volt wiring so they could not use the under-cabinet lights that came with my cabinets. Installed the kitchen motion sensor switch in the dining room! Novel Remodeling did a wonderful job on our kitchen remodel at a very reasonable price. Matthew was the general contractor who oversees the work crews. Prior to finding Novel Remodeling, we had approached two other firms, but neither firm was able to come up with an acceptable design. It was as if they were trying to fit us into their cookie-cutter vision of what the kitchen should look like, rather than listening to us and designing what we wanted.

These guys mean business when they get started on your work. From sales to installers, they were ALWAYS at my house at the time they specified. The sales guy (David) went above and beyond making sure we were taking care of and the office manager was top notch in working with us in getting our needs met. Not to mention the installers were fabulous. They were done with our remodel in less than 3 days and the bathroom/ walk in shower looks fantastic!

We feel that our experience with Novel Remodeling has to be spread around for everyone's benefit. We live in Sherman Oaks. Did some research on windows company in our area and were about to choose a local dealer who carried Plygem windows. We called Novel Remodeling and they told us they carry Plygem , too. The day that we got the windows from Novel Remodeling they showed us the warranty before we signed with them. We decided to go with Novel Remodeling to build a custom iron gate for my family's home. The job was done on 03/28/2019. Installation is one day but it takes about a week to make it. David and his team are amazing to work with!
David explained everything along the way so we always felt informed and comfortable.

This is the second review we leave for this company. We just had our driveway done by Novel. The reason we had the driveway done is because we had a water leak underneath. We had other estimates come over and they all tried to use the scare tactics of why we should get the driveway done.
