David Hardie started his construction experience as a welder and pipefitter in the US Navy in 1978. In 1981, he began working as a carpenter, building all types, size and styles of Fence in Colorado, California and New York until 1985 when he started working as a commercial framing contractor in Southern California.
In 1991, David moved to Ft. Collins Colorado and started a partner business, building residential track homes. He went out on his own, as D Hardie Built in 1997. Besides his independent projects at that time, he Sub contracted out as a framing foreman, running 40 to 50 men crews, framing commercial construction projects such as Retail Strip Malls, Schools, Apartment building etc.
