Services
Our mission is to provide a quality project that is completed on time and exceeds expectations. Kelsey Construction was founded by Gobel Newsome, Jr. in 1998. Gobel financed the start up of the business by cashing in his 401(k) to purchase a truck and a piece of equipment. In 1999, K&M Blasting, a sister company specializing in blasting services, was established.
Kelsey Construction is a full service civil contractor specializing in earthmoving and underground utility infrastructure with extensive experience serving Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding areas since 1998. Our company performs a broad and diverse range of projects, spanning from small concrete jobs to multi-million dollar site work packages.
Have a large amount of rock on a job? No problem for us. Our sister company, K&M Blasting, is a contract blasting service that specializes in drilling and blasting to provide both mass rock and trench rock removal. Kelsey Construction, LLC is committed to the recruitment and retention of experienced, dedicated employees.
At the end of the day, everyone wants to be able to return home safely to their families. At Kelsey Construction, we take safety very seriously and provide several types of training for our employees in order to provide the safest work environment possible. In addition, each site has a designated "Emergency Rally Point" for crew members to meet at in the event of an emergency.

The Employees at Kelsey Construction where very professional. They came early worked very hard and got the job done the same day. They even cleaned up the work area afterward. Very unexpected considering most construction companys dont. Aswell as being very polite they answered all my questions. No problem out of theses guys. Just a bunch of good ole boys.
