Did you know that families who use less power between sunset and 8pm can save extra money on their bills? A CUIC consultant is familiar with all of the available programs, and most people will fit one of them. Utilities in California have been mandated by the State of California to offer a program that works with homes that generate their own power.
Solar and windmills are the most common equipment used with this program, so a free CUIC consultation can be time-well-spent if your home qualifies for this utility program.

Services
CUIC is the leading utility program consulting company in California. We make it very easy for California energy-users to find, understand, and apply for all of the discount programs offered by their utility companies. Our company is also partnered with most of the best organizations in the energy industry.
Schedule NEM (or Net Energy Metering) allows energy-users to receive credits from their utility company for helping to produce some of their own energy. A special utility meter is installed along with a small amount of energy-producing equipment. As excess energy is produced and sent back to the utility grid, participating energy-users receive credits that they can use in the nighttime.
Most energy-users who begin to work with a CUIC energy consultant are surprised to discover that they qualify for one or more discount more often than not. They are not just for low income users. They cover a range of conditions and a variety of circumstances. It's definitely worth a look. Summer Discount Plan rewards air conditioning users willing to go without up to 12 times a year.
The sun's energy is free. Using the sun's energy cuts down on generation and delivery charges on your electric bill. With solar system equipment at an all-time low and energy-users utility bills at an all time high, everyone can save with solar. Rooftop solar systems receive the sun's energy during the day and turn it into electricity to power the home.

CUIC reps came knocking on my door Saturday afternoon. Michael proceed to share facts that he clearly googled, because when I asked him for more info - he laughed and said usually people don't ask those questions. He said he would send Nick to my house to get the particulars.
Nick rang the doorbell, and he started to tell me a little about the program - and mentioned a 25 year commitment!!! He also told me VERY personal information about my neighbor - giving me reasons for them not participating in the program. RED FLAG!!
At that same time of Nick's arrival, another parent of a child

In the world of solar there is so much nonsense. I have no idea why other reviews are negative when my experience has been absolutely tip top.
From the minute we met with Eric to every interaction with management all the way through install, customer service was excellent.
They covered the entire cost of the system with no down payment from us. It's been seven months and our Edison bill is zero month after month. Meanwhile the solar system is about half what we were paying.
I waited this long to post my review because I wanted to make sure it isn't just too good to be true

Two scruffy looking dudes came knocking on our door after 7 PM the other night (Jan 18, 2019). The "leader" and his "assistant" were dressed for work in the backyard at best. The leader wore what could have been an identification hanging around his neck. The other character had no identification at all- outside of the reflective vest he was sporting. When we (my husband and I both went to the door since it was dark) asked who they were and what they wanted, they mumble some inaudible acronym. We asked several times who they represented and finally found out they were with

A gentlemen came to my door claiming to be with Socal Edison. Red Flag. Next he claimed that the California wanted to save me money, that was actually funny. I was pretty sure he was an "energy consultant". He also told me to talk to Gregg. Basically these folks want to turn your house into an energy farm by trading you your roof space for a lower electrical bill. Sounds good to me. However, in some of the contracts, it is written that they can sell your account to anyone they want. It reminds me of the mortgage crisis annuities. I am also unclear on how long whoever owns your account

Came to my door at 7:45 PM, which, as anyone with children will tell you, is mildly irritating when the door bell wakes them up. The individual who came to my door identified himself as Fernando, and his immediate sales pitch appeared disingenuous from the start. I had to ask several times for the actual name of the company he was representing. When i asked for a buisness card He told me he didn't have one, but that his supervisor "Greg" did, and could be at my home in "10 minutes."
The entire encounter stuck me as odd, unprofessional, and dishonest. I'm not
