My name is Joe Cappel. I started the company in 1998, while still in high school. I realized I had a passion for landscaping after working a part-time job for a west-side greenhouse and decided to go into business for myself. I began with a 20 John Deere lawn mower, a Stihl blower and trimmer, in a 1985 Dodge pick-up equipped with a dump bed.

If you love the great outdoors, take pride in your work, and desire to make people happy with the professional quality of your service, we would like you to join our team.
Annual flowers fall into two categories: varieties that like it warm and varieties that like it cool. Most cool-season annuals, such as pansies and violas, nemesia, diascia, calendula, poppy, snapdragon, and sweet alyssum, can take a little frost. Plant them in beds and borders or containers and gain a few early weeks of color.

We offer a wide variety of bedding plants, potted arrangements, hanging baskets, house plants, perennials, trees and shrubs for every season. As the season progresses, and you evaluate how your garden has performed throughout the season there are things that performed well, and other things that just weren't up to snuff. Fall is the time when you can fix those problem areas. While it's still fresh in your mind, you can move those plants that just didn't perform as they should have, or add plants in areas that didn't fill out as you expected.

During the summer my daughter and I came in and felt very ackward, we weren't greeted they weren't busy but we bought our stuff and left. Couple weeks ago I went in the young lady was there, didn't realize she worked there, she walked past me and didn't say anything, I said do you work here, I didn't see anyone else, I asked about eucalyptus. Well TODAY I walked in an older lady talking to someone and young lady behind counter, I walked in LITERALLY all 3 look at me and no one says anything. I will never come back in that place. Clearly I'm not welcome! I'm in a huge garden group on Facebook and

My son got 3 loads of gravel. He lives within the 0-5 mile range. I have a pickup, but that much gravel I would have to make 3 trips. It was my son's off day, so they made a special effort to deliver it right then. I would give them a 6 rating, but it doesn't go that high. I will definitely come back. Great company!

This plant shop is a true gem hidden in Cincinnati. Even though they don’t have the biggest indoor plant green house in the area they have an amazing selection. Not to mention the staff is so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Especially Nathan who has helped me with any questions I’ve had and always made my visits worthwhile. I have been to a ton of different plant shops in the area and this one has always been my favorite.

We recently began going tp Cappel's for our landscaping needs. The White Oak Garden Center is closer to us, however their pricing is much higher. We recently bought some mulch by the scoops, which I thought was a great option, & great deal! We also purchased some flowers today, & recently this beautiful kwanzan cherry tree! (pictured) The staff's always super friendly, & willing to help with whatever you need. Highly recommend it for any landscaping needs.
