Wilson Painting & Finishing, based in Costa Mesa, CA, was founded in 1979 by Mike Wilson. Since that time, Mike (with his partner Chris Candlish) has seen the company grow from a small operation with a few employees to one of the largest custom painting companies in Orange County, serving both residential properties and commercial projects.

Chris and his team completed several projects for us including painting the interior of our house, refinishing and painting all doors, installing new floor moulding and door trim. In addition he built two art display walls with recessed shelving standards and low voltage lighting for us. His attention to detail was exceptional. We highly recommend him and will use him again on future projects.

Wilson Painting was referred to me from another satisfied customer. We had our home repiped and the first project was to paint interior where repipe work was completed as well as exterior patches. Because of the quality of work, we had the company complete other interior work including cabinets. Quality of work is top notch and jobs are done on time. Highly recommend.

It started to be very good experience and ended badly. I couldn’t get them to come back and finish my job even though they had been paid in full. Multiple texts and phone calls went unanswered for months. In addition, all stucco bubbles and cracks were to be repaired before painting. A year later all the issues that were to be repaired have reappeared. I asked Chris about it, got one response that said it wasn’t their responsibility, I asked what primer they used to prevent the bubbling and as usual didn’t receive a response. We have friends who also used them and would not use them again

Working with Chris Candlish from Wilson Painting & Finishing was a delight. We have outdoor furniture that required refinishing and painting with a weather-resistant specialized paint used to paint boats. Chris was very responsive, showed up exactly when he said he would, explained in detail the various options, picked up the furniture, kept us informed about the progress and returned the set looking as new as the day we originally bought it.
