I would never buy a home from Olson again. I bought a Condo from them in 2010. Compton Willow Walk. I would steer clear from them. I will also never buy a home in a HOA again. Oh and the real estate agent lied about us getting that parking lot next to the community. I would call her out but what's the use. I found out that Olson deeded back the parking lot back to the city the year before I bought.

Purchase home in 2015, exterior paint comes off easily, paint on door to the garage is peeling off. Paint in the interior shows places missed, bathroom counter tops were an upgrade, I was not advised that the counters get scratched easily. Kitchen cabinet doors are not aligned. Overall, craftsmanship is poor, inside and out. Everything about Olsen homes is bad, service, and management company they chose for the HOA.

This review is long overdue. We decided to go with Olson Homes for our first home purchase in California and boy was that the biggest mistake. I will say that I had a pleasant experience with one of the sales individual that we worked with which played a huge role in our decision to purchase. Everything outside of that was lackluster. We purchased a new build through Olson 3 years ago. First and foremost, the value for what we paid is appalling. The quality of materials used and the workmanship is beyond inferior. Im happy to share the details outside of this forum but I will say that my concerns

Carlos at Flora Walk was a pleasure to tour the models homes with he was polite and had alot of knowledge about the area. The Flora Walk town houses in Torrance are beautiful. The construction seemed well done the finishes were nice. We appreciate the Covid19 precautions and allowing us to see the remaining options today.

Bought an Olson built home in 2015. The house was built in 1997. Learning from all of the other home-owners in this community that every house in the community has had electrical issues, plumbing issues, foundation issues, and just poor workmanship in general. I’m definitely outside of the statute of limitations for getting anything corrected, but people should know that this builder does not do good work. They cut corners anytime they can. Do your due diligence if purchasing a home built by them.

This company is the absolute worst. They are very unprofessional and they do not care about their homeowners. They sent someone to fix our roof, but they did nothing at all and they still charged us ! They refuse to help us with this issue and that was very unethical. The person that came to fix the roof, did not say anything to us and just left without saying a single word to us. We don't even know what they even "fixed". Do not buy from this company! They do not care at all about their customers and just steal your money. Do not purchase your home from them you will regret it

Very poor workmanship and no attention to detail. All of the doors in my house are not aligned correctly and the repair people Olson has sent out to address the issue have been a joke. Roof also had leaking issues which started from the 1st year I moved in (I am original owner). Still have leaking to date. I have been thrown around to various “customer sastisfaction” representatives from Olson over the years. Jason Voegeli, my most recent rep, has told me either “that’s maintanence, contact your HOA” or “sorry your out of warranty”. When I told him about previous service requests

Their finance sucks. All screen windows to be redone they don’t fit snug. The location is convenient for us so we bought.

Very Poor Finish work, Interior and Exterior. Visited a family member that bought one of your condos, and I regret not having input into their purchase. The first thing I noticed was the Air Conditioning Compressors on a raised cmu wall at the front entry of units. No even an effort to enclose or disguise. The exterior stucco was very incomplete with multiple colors and scratches in the finish, even the wrought iron railing had stucco over-spray that the painters painted over. The interior doors were pathetic, the reveals were not equal, with the jamb sideds touching and the other three sides 1

In 2016 my wife and I purchased a Los Angeles County home from Olson in a gated community called Encanto Walk. We were one of the first home buyers. We watched Olson build all the streets and homes on what was originally a 9 acre field of dirt.
Their niche seems to be converting commercially zoned urban areas into a quality residential community of homes. It seems they mostly build townhouses but also have some regular single family homes too.
Our experience with Olson has been terrific from start to finish. This company is managed very well. It's important to them for homeowners

My wife and I purchased our home with Olson in Buena Park. A little community named Aldea Walk. I had many fears purchasing a new home because i have heard horror stories from my friends and family with "other" builders. What I noticed about The Olson Company is, they have a stream line process and a business operating model that is above par from what I have seen with other builders.
