Jeff Smith and his wife Teresa have been pillars in the community for decades. They both grew up in Brevard County and raised their children here. Therefore, it was a natural decision for them to start Smith Construction and Development here as well. However, the business started long before it officially opened its doors in 2007.
Jeff Smith is one fine contractor. I can't praise him and his sub-contractors enough, for the quality of their work and the courtesy and respect shown to my [handicapped] husband and to myself. Jeff went "above and beyond" in trying to please us -- including transplanting a sixteen foot crape myrtle tree from one side of the driveway to the other.

I contacted Smith Development in January of 2019 to work with me in designing a home that could be built on multiple lots which are considered nonconforming in Broadmoor Acres community.
Working with Josh on a design that was born out of another design done by him was rewarding and pleasant experience in every way. We both learned from each other. The final design has been built at 1102 & 1115 Broadmoor Dr and I am hoping to build it at 408 N Kentucky Ave soon.
Josh not only listened to what I was trying to accomplish in the design we both had fun watching it materialize into a clean roomy home

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They have no idea what they are doing. We started working with Smith June 2017 and was told it would take 6-9 months to complete our home. 1 year 6 months 28 days later it has finally been completed. They have managed to mess up EVERY SINGLE piece of our home. Not ONE decision they made had been thought through. They didn’t know building codes they didn’t know building laws they didn't know how to plan a house how to design or how to build a house and most of all have no idea about allowances. It is impossible for us to be more disappointed in Smith development
