In the fall of 1925, Shelby physician, Dr. Stephen S. Royster, seized an opportunity and secured the Gulf Oil Refining Company Distributorship for Cleveland and Rutherford counties. Over the years and through many changes in the oil industry, our business has grown to include BP, Chevron, & Exxon products in North Carolina and South Carolina.
