With 28 years of construction experience, Neil founded Revitalize Construction after moving to Helena in 2006. A certified green builder from the Green Builder College, Neil hopes to make the world a better place one home or remodel at a time. Matthieu Oppedahl is a native Helenan with diverse interests, a colorful past, and a strong penchant for reggae and ska music.

Renovations demand a skill set that is not required in new construction. Renovators must be effective at assessing the needs of their clients whom are most often living on the job site. Minimizing the disruption of the daily routine, the dust and mess, and the intrusion of workers in the home are considerations unique to remodeling.
If you are in the city limits, you will need a building permit. This means that you will need building plans. Be prepared to invest in a good set of plans. They will pay for themselves in the end, and you will get a better result with less stress. Our design department is available to help you think through your project.
Thinking ahead to what you can afford will help the contractor develop a design and plan that will align with your budget. We do not base our prices on your budget, but it helps us know if you can afford high-end or budget-friendly options, as well if you have realistic expectations for the cost of your project.
