We are accustomed to installing a variety of roof materials, the most common residential materials such as shingle and tile are utilized to replace the most common weathered down existing roof materials such as wood shake, or 3-tab shingle. Most roofs can be replaced with colors and styles available from most manufactures, such as GAF, Certainteed, Owens Corning, Boral, Eagle, and IKO.
Composition shingles, concrete tile, clay tile, metal shake, and rolled roofing are the most common sloped roofing materials, generally manufactured by well known companies like GAF, Owens Corning, IKO, and Certainteed. Single ply membrane materials, like TPO, PVC, and EPDM offer the best heat reflection, and the most economic option for flat roofs.

This is a long overdue review, but I can't say enough about how pleased I was with the service I received from Winter Roofing last fall. They fixed some damage to the fascia as well as did a "tune-up" for my tile roof. The estimator, Tom, worked with me to get the most important repairs done within my budget and made recommendations for future work as my budget allows. The people who completed the work were on time, worked diligently all day, and cleaned up so well it was like they were never here! I definitely recommend this company for quality work at a fair price.

They just put a new roof on our home in San Jose their bid was competitive, they dealt with the city and permits and the finished job looked great.Last year they added rain gutters to our Morgan Hill house. They had to cut extended rafters and repair termite damage before putting on the gutters. No other company would bid on the job it turned out great.

Javier sent us with the quote of the roof job we requested but the total estimate was higher than what he quoted us verbally in person several days earlier. I called and he said he wanted to make sure we would not have anything to worry about(?) We decided to let him slide and make some extra money even though it's very unethical. At the end of the job, we discovered several items were not fully completed per the quote. Javier again gave us more other excuses. The work seems acceptable but Javier could have been a better and more honest business person.

I did my homework by calling 4 contractors, and decided to hire Winters, because of one of my neighbors, who was happy and the inspection was flawless.
They did a great job in my house, the roofers were nice and polite all the time, and finished the installation in only 3 days.The general manager explained the process in detail and came to my house several times to inspect and to make sure that the roofers had all they needed. They had great communication and the timing for each step was coordinated perfectly.
The roof looks great and we are happy with the colors and options we selected.

Winter roofing was a recommendation from our neighbor and we were very satisfied with their work. The garage does get dirty since they pull off all the shingles and old wood. Make sure you TARP well, otherwise you will have alot of clean up after. I think they tarped a little, but you may want to do extra to avoid the work on the backend.

Winter roofing did my own roofing work ten years ago when my insurance agent first referred them to me. I am pretty happy with their work. Recently, they won the bids and replaced two duplex's roofing for me, they also added gutter and gutter cover, repaired a bunch of boards on the roof. I am really satisfied with their work, the roofs look amazing!

I don't understand why these people are in business. I called for an estimate, they didn't show up on-time if they even showed, and it has been at least 2 weeks and I still haven't received the estimate. I called them at least 7 times. They answered the phone twice and said each time they would check on it and call me back. They did not. This must be a mom and pop shop because I have never seen this type of unprofessionalism. If you are reading this review, go to the next Roofing company because this one acts like it doesn't want to make money.

Winter roofing was great from the referral to completion of the project. We had a small leak in our garage and had some other small issues with the top of our roof on house. Winter roofing completed the project quickly and we are very pleased with the outcome. Our only issue... very small issue was that they only accepted cash/check and we waited for the bill to be mailed to us.

I had someone come out and give me an estimate for roof repairs on my rental home. The man who came out was very knowledgeable and pleasant. When he finished, he said give him a day or two for the estimate. Sounded good to me. A week went by and nothing. So I called the office and they said they would contact the man who came out and make sure the estimate was emailed to me. Great. If I could rate this company a zero I would. I had an 11am appointment for an estimator to come to my house today. I called them at 11:19 and asked when the estimator would arrive. The person I spoke to said he was an estimator and that the office had gone out of town and are not answering and would I like I to reschedule. I said that was really poor business practices and that I would not reschedule. He hung up on me. Unprofessional and completely unacceptable service.

Winter Roofing replaced the torch-down flat roof with GAF Everguard Extreme TPO and our mansard terracotta tiles with a high end GAF designer shingle. They also re-insulated our attic, added gutters, repaired a bunch of old rotted out boards on the roof, and added solar attic vents. They also worked hand in hand with our solar installer to get the solar stanchion feet all sealed up. All in all, the process was pretty smooth. I called to get an estimate for our roof over a month ago, an appointment was made, they came out albeit a little later than they said and told us what was wrong and they would be sending an email with our written estimate, it's been 2 weeks and I never heard back from them. I realize it's not a huge job but word of mouth goes a long way.

It's been a couple of years now since Winter Roofing re-roofed my house. Just want to echo all the other reviews. They do a really good job and Tom, who comes out to inspect and delivers the bid is really helpful. They had to scrape both a shake and underneath a shingle roof off my house before installing the new composite roof. Don't hesitate if you need a new roof. Great work and a good price.

I was very pleased with Winter Roofing and wholeheartedly recommend them. Not only were they considerably less expensive than the other companies I had bid the job, they were wonderful to work with. My roof was so old there were spots where the shingles had blown off. I was concerned there would be added charges for possible rot but that was not the case. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the jobs that were ahead of me but it was so worth the wait and the roof looks amazing!!

When it came time to start the project, it rained. After two last minute re-schedule due to weather, we moved the project four months out. Then we had to fine tune the dates due to my vacation schedule, tenant's schedule, my other contractors' schedule. Each time we moved the project date, Tom was super-responsive and accommodating.
Once the project started, they worked everyday and completed ahead of schedule

We got three bids like you are supposed to do when you plan a major home improvement project. Winter's price was most competitive. And we liked the sales guy, Tom. He talked us through several alternatives and showed us the pros and cons of different roofs and roof ventilating approaches. There is more to know about roofs than you'd think.
