Services
Mike began working in the tree care industry in 1995, and later opened Limbwalker Tree Service in Vermont in 1999. Throughout his education and early work history, Mike developed a true love and appreciation for arboriculture. Although a Vermont native, Mike spent time in Oregon, where he worked for a Portland tree service.
Limbwalker Tree Service offers free consultations on tree planting, tree pruning, stump removal and all of our low-impact tree care services in Western Vermont and the Champlain Valley. During your free consultation, our ISA Certified Arborists and tree care professionals will evaluate your property, your existing trees and your goals.
Limbwalker Tree Service is a fully insured, Certified Arborist owned, providing low impact tree care services in VT. We respect your trees and your property, which means we do not use bucket trucks or other heavy equipment that can destroy lawns and damage your home or business. When Limbwalker completes a job, the only thing we leave behind is our satisfaction guarantee.
Careful planning and rigorous preparation are the key to success in any project, which is why tree pruning is best left to a professional tree care specialist with proper education and experience. At Limbwalker, our certified arborists are trained in proper tree pruning techniques, and have years of hands-on experience with a variety of Vermont's tree species.
Trees give us so much, but their benefits become moot when they are unhealthy or threaten injury or damage to your property. As certified arborists, we can help you determine when a tree needs to be removed, and we can ensure minimal impact to your surrounding property during tree removal. As a low-impact tree removal company, we do not use bucket trucks or other lawn damaging methods for tree removal.

I hired Limbwalker to take down a couple of big leaders off a tree hanging over the back of my house and clean up a couple of buckthorn bushes. Sara, Mike, Courtney, Steve and Andrew couldn’t have been more professional, knowledgeable, courteous, timely and thorough. When the job was finished the cleanup was so detailed you’d never have known the work was done that day. There wasn’t even any sawdust. And I had a nice stack of firewood for winter! I highly recommend Limbwalker to anyone looking to get tree work done and I will definitely contact them again for all future tree needs.

I contacted Limbwalker for a free consultation about several large ash trees growing very close to my house. They replied and scheduled the visit very quickly. Mike came out even in the rain and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was able to assess all of the trees in question, answer my questions about which trees would be better to treat for emerald ash borer protection and which were likely not healthy enough, and provide a free estimate for treating or feeling the trees. I was very impressed overall and would highly recommend their services.

I have had Limb walker do 3 big jobs and one small one over the past 3 years. On each occasion they gave me an estimate very promptly and the estimates were quite reasonable. They were able to do the jobs with minimal delay and they completed the jobs very efficiently. In all aspects of interaction they are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I don’t usually write reviews but their service is outstanding. Rick Rawson. Sudbury Vermont

Everyone at Limbwalker was a pleasure to work with! They had the best prices out of the 3 quotes that I got from local companies. When they were pruning the large Maple trees they made sure I was satisfied before they finished and the clean-up was impeccable. They don't use heavy machinery and it was truly amazing to watch them "limb walking" in the trees. Sara is the behind the scenes employee and she was so easy to communicate with. Super responsive, professional and friendly. Overall great company to work with. Highly recommend and will use them again next time I need any related work done!

Gave me an estimate for taking down one tree, not a HUGE tree, without the need for disposal since I was going to take care of that. The job is basically cut and leave everything lay where it falls. One of the branches in the top of the tree is semi broken off and leaning into another tree which is a bit precarious and one of the reasons I didn't cut it myself. The other precarious part of the job is the other half of the tree elbows out and a natural fall of the tree would land it on one of my nice maples. I was quite surprised to hear the cost - $1200.00. I asked how much labor would be involved
