Building a 4' or 5' Custom Fence, a White Picket Fence or lining your clothes closet with Cedar? Save more than 70-80% vs. big box stores by calling Viking Fence! Because we buy random length lumber from our mills in Canada and 4' and 5' are an incredible value because they're considered downfall. And, we're the only cedar supplier in Austin or DFW that stocks a 4' or 5' board in two grades.
In order to erect a fence in Austin, there are several city ordinances that must be followed. These rules are in place to protect public safety and property. All Material is guaranteed to be as specified in original contract. Viking warranties that all work will be free of workmanship defects for one year from the date of installation and all defects occurring within that period shall be replaced at no cost to the owner. Any exceptions to this must be specified in original purchase contract.
Viking is the only fence company in Texas with its own mill, where we mill and grade western red cedar. Western Red Cedar requires no chemical treatment or kiln drying, so it has a much lower carbon footprint and environmental impact than inferior materials like pine, spruce and fir. I was extremely disappointed with the Quotes Mr Ramos provided to me on a wood fence replacement. It took multiple calls to get the quotes after he measured the property which came in at $27,888 and $28,590. Note that the second quote contained a downgraded picket yet the price went up! The retail price of the downgraded picket was $3 a picket less than the first quote! OK, so it's obvious that he didn't want my business, so I contacted 3 other fence companies that had excellent review ratings and the same quotes came in within $200 of each other, the highest being $14,110, which included

We had 2 sections of fence replaced. The fence was damaged by high wIndy's and the posts broke at the base (there might have been some water damage to one of the posts also, contributing to the weakness).
Danny and Ed did a great job. it was finished quickly, and it looks great.
Hopefully this new section will last another 15 years or longer (the age of the rest of the fence installed by Viking to replace the fence that came with our house).

Extremely unprofessional company. Â We were almost run over while we were walking by a company representative. Â When we told him he almost hit us, he verbally attacked us and cussed at us in front of an elderly customer he was providing a quote for. Â He then made extremely rude comments towards my wife and aggressively turned to walk towards her. Â I stepped in front to protect my wife and he assaulted me and tried to provoke me to retaliate and into a confrontation but I refused. Â Police were called and a report was made. Several years ago we had Viking Fence put in a custom iron fence for us. I was happy with the service we received at that time. We need to have handrails installed on our front porch steps and I wanted the design to match the fence. I also needed a small section of fence installed to hide a hot tub. I wanted the new section to match the existing fence. Well ... Gil came out, took measurements and told me he would get a design and bid to me in 3 or 4 days. Additional info: Not only did they not complete the project properly, they promised to fix it but then stopped communication once they charged my card for the balance (so just buying time until the charge cleared). Truly egregious behavior from a business and luckily I had the forethought of recording (video/audio) our conversations once the project went south. Now I'm going to have to contract with another company to fix their errors and will send them the bill.

I had two sides of the fence around my back yard replaced. Dan provided the original estimate, and due to delays getting my neighbor's approval with it, the work was started a few weeks after originally planned. Dan was very flexible and understood the need to postpone. Due to the fluctuating prices of lumber, the delay caused a small increase in the price. I contacted Viking Fence to make some needed repairs to two gates to my iron fence. They walked the job, priced it out and promptly completed the work. Their work, and attitudes were great. In particular I was impressed with the professionalism of the 3 person Tempur and particularly Brett and Edgar. I had approached the original fence installer prior to contacting Viking and Brett and was dismayed by their attitude and down right refusal to do the job. Viking was so very pleasant to do business and I highly recommend them!!!!!!

If you want a fence company that delivers with no excuses Viking Fence is by far the best. I made an appointment with Gil for reconfiguring and repairing a fence. Not only did he show up on time but also gave me a great price. On the day of the project Gil and his crew started early but rain stopped their progress so they returned the very next day and finished the job. They also removed the old fence and made a few more improvements I hadn't thought of. He also texted me photos upon completion. Viking Fence has all my business from now on.

The project manage Ulises missed our scdeduled appointment by four hours. I tried to call their office an hour later, but got nothing, but their voicemail. He finally calls back hours later to reschedule with a lame excuse about being on another job, and still manages to show up two hours late for the rescheduled appointment. But to make it all the worse waste of my time, he can not even be bothered to submit a proposal to me.

He made suggestions based on my needs and together we came up with what I think is the best choice. I was able to call on him any time if I had a question about what I was getting and if I needed to make a change.
José and his crew did an amazing job. I peeked in on them from time to time as I knew what should be expected in a fence; straight, pickets not touching the ground, and sturdy among other things. Every box was checked and the fence looks so much better

Outstanding job! We are so very happy with our new fence. We worked with Dan, he was so easy to work with and kept us updated on the progress of our order and installation. Dimas and his crew were the hardest working men I think I know. They were very professional, quick, cleaned up perfectly. I don't know why anyone would try to build their own fence. I could only give one star because after requesting a quote for a stair hand rail online, I did receive a call from"Joe". We spoke and I asked him to visit the property and provide a quote, I also send some photos via text.
Never got a call back. I called "Joe" back twice and left messages, but never got a reply. I gave up and moved on.

Viking did a really nice job on our fence install. (Horizontal with metal posts). Frank worked with us on the project from design through completion. He was pleasant and dependable to work with and especially great at communicating both over the phone and text/email.
From the beginning of the process Jorge and his crew gave us excellent service. They were punctual and exceptionally courteous.

Eight years ago, Viking Fence replaced my entire cedar fence. Due to a combination of shoddy materials and installation technique, most of the posts are already completely rotted through to the point of failure. Sections are sagging, and strong winds this week blew down another section.
As you prepare to spend $20 or more per lineal foot on a fence, bear in mind that your Viking Fence might very well only last you a paltry 8 years.
