I met with a designer at Wolfers to learn the differences in recessed lighting. He offered a great introduction and various options. He had a bit of an attitude when I did not agree with some of his suggestions. Even though Wolfers' prices were a bit higher than others I decided since the designer spent time with me I should go with them. I was not disappointed with the product, but the customer service was awful. I picked my order up and when I opened the box before the electrician came I found that I was missing items. I called and spoke with a woman and explained the issue. She spoke

This place was recommended by my electrician, when I told him I did not find what I want at Lowe's, Home depot or Ikea. At Wolfers Lighting, there is a wide variety of lights, even a amazing mirror with light and an integrated mail/video/music player. Not all are available in this showroom, but you can count on the help of a lighting designer to help you find the right one.

I’ve purchased most of the lighting fixtures for my dining room, living room and bedrooms from Wolfers Lighting. I’m very pleased with the selection and choices I’ve made. Joe Powers always eager to please and professional, provided me with all the technical info needed to make the right choices. We've shopped at Wolfers for years and always appreciated being able to see their many stylish light fixtures actually lit up in their showroom. We made another purchase recently of a special order fixture, and when there was a problem they were able to send a replacement part directly to our house free of charge. The customer service can't be beat.

Just this weekend I visited Wolfer's Waltham. It's not easy finding a lighting store so when I uncovered them within a Google search, I felt the ride from NH was worth it and it was. Tom S was the associate that helped me. He gets an A+! I purchased a pendent light and a light for over my DR table. Tom was very helpful. The only reason I'm not rating the business a 5 has nothing to do with Customer Service or the actual product as I would post a 5 easily on both but pricing is a bit on the higher side. My guess is, as another reviewer wrote, that I can find the items less pricey

I had a wonderful experience with Wolfers and Bob Grossman in sales. I had ordered recessed lighting fixtures from another vendor who was terrible to work with and had left a few parts off of my order. After calling the manufacturer, I learned that I could order the parts through Wolfers. Bob was quick to respond and highly professional. I wish that I had placed the entire order with Wolfers to start, but I will definitely be buying the other fixtures I need through them in the future.

I have come to understand over the years that lighting is one of the most important aspects to any room design, and from what I have seen from renovations I have watched, it is one of the last to be considered. That's too bad, because you can decorate a room worthy of Architectural Digest, but if you don't light it correctly, you've lost the opportunity to bring it from beautiful to striking.

Went on a Thursday evening when they have extended hours. One salesman on duty and he was cheerful, not pushy, and gave me the exact right amount of attention and information.
I have been a few years ago when they were busier and pushy but this experience was great.
Wolfers focuses on modern styles that are fun and stylish. Prices are NOT cheap so this ain't no discount joint. Disappointingly one floor model had intermittent wiring, and I'd hope for these prices they could withstand the beating, but maybe the kids really play hard on some of these.

As an antidote to the number of negatives for this shop, I'd like to offer my own experience. I was advised by my electrician to make an appointment or to be there early for best service. I showed up at 9 in the morning with a list of what I was looking for, a few images on my phone of things I liked. The showroom is eye candy, organized by theme and application. I was given a tour, we talked about my list, and Susan selected three catalogs for me to look at based on my interests. Everyone was helpful, cheerful, and happy to help. Shows how absurd Yelp is. I've competed with Wolfers for over 30 years in the Boston market. Wolfers has always been and is still currently known now with-in the industry of having outstanding customer service. Anyone who gives them less than a 5 star review simply does not get it and does not understand the uniquely high level of service that they do provide that is so rare to find today.

Save yourself a trip to allston, and shop online. After reading the other reviews, i guess i should have read them before leaving the house. Not much has changed here in the past 5 years it seems.
When we walked in, we could see some of the paper shuffling staff in the back room, but they clearly were all on break, and as a result, there was no one to help us. After several minutes and several PA pagers for assistance at the front desk, a lady approached us, and

Apparently, Customer Service is an issue all-around.
I had a broken fan-blade on an older ceiling fan that needed replacing. I was just looking for a little guidance, and didn't have a lot of information regarding the fan (I'm in a rental property). On my way to Home Depot, I passed Wolfers and thought I'd give it a shot. Fair warning...you'll get far better customer service at Home Depot.
I approached the gentleman (for lack of a better term) and told him my son had accidentally broken one blade on the ceiling fan and though I knew it was a long shot, could he look up

Wolfers may be on the pricey side of things, but damn, the things they offer are pretty to very nice, the lighting showroom is better and better located than many others options.
I like all the people who work here a great deal. They have always been helpful and accommodating as seemingly possible.
