Happy Solar was founded by Matt and Dace Hosking. Their mission is to help transition the local community to clean renewable energy with world class customer service. Matt has been in the solar industry since 2012 and became a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional in 2014, which he still holds.
He obtained an Associates of Applied Science in Solar Energy Technologies, which led him to begin working for a nation-wide solar company. After gaining the core knowledge from school and the hands on experience from installing solar with a national solar company, Matt co-founded a local solar company and grew it to success.
After nearly 6 years of co-owning the company, Matt decided to part ways to start a new company working with his wife to continue their work in the solar industry. They founded Happy Solar to help shape a cleaner more sustainable future for our community and future generations. Happy Solar has been helping neighbors go solar since 2017.

We use our long term industry experience to take the time to educate you about solar and how solar works. We provide a free Happy Solar Model of what your home would look like with solar and go from there. We have a world class design team and are NABCEP Certified. We have a combined experience of 20+ years working and studying in the solar industry. Throughout that time we have helped install hundreds of systems in our community. Our owner is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional since 2014, the "Gold Standard" of solar licensing and holds a degree in Solar Energy Technologies.

We had such a great experience with Matt and his team at Happy Solar. I was impressed by the thoroughness of their project proposal and how much I learned about energy and electricity in addition to the solar system itself while we were working with Matt. We ran into to challenges that set our project timeline back and Matt was excellent at communicating with us throughout the whole project and following through to make sure the installation was completed. Highly recommend this company if you are looking to go solar!

We just had our roof replaced, Matt came out and removed the system, once the roof was complete he came back out and reinstalled them. He even went the extra mile, and fixed the placement of the panels and also found some issues that would have caused major problems from the orginal installing company.
I would highly recommend using Matt from happy solar for any of your solar needs!

I was interested in solar, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a system. Happy Solar had the best pricing compared to the other estimates we received and our break even point was only 3 years! Not only did they have the best price, their customer service and contact throughout the process was outstanding. Happy Solar was focused on the small details during installation and it really shows on the finished project. We recommend Happy Solar to anyone looking to go solar!

I just had a new roof put on and Matt/Happy Solar, came and removed the solar and once the roof was complete, he reconnected the panels. Matt let us know when he was going to show up and let us know when he was done. We felt he went over and above to complete the job, in between the weather this past week. We have let others know of the well done job and how he kept us in the loop.

After we moved into a new home, we were set on adding solar as soon as possible to avoid the high cost of electricity for the new home as well as reduce our families impact on the environment.
