Our most popular profile, and also our standard. Our 8 x 8 profile features a traditional round log look with a uniform and more tailored appearance. Corners are mortise-and-tenon and available in a standard 8-inch profile. A "D" profile in a new larger size! Our new 8x8 profile features a uniformly contoured round exterior and a horizontal tongue-and-groove interior.
We provide several wood species options for our log home packages, shown below. Of course, if you have a wood species in mind that you have your heart set on, we're happy to accommodate special requests. We want our log homes to be a perfect fit for our clients, so while the wood species below are the standard, they certainly are not the only species we can work with.
The hallmark of REAL LOG HOMES brand log home packages, these naturally contoured full log rafters create an authentic log home look. Full log rafters are part of our standard log home packages. Available in an optional hand-peeled finish. An economical option which retains the qualities of an exposed rafter design desired by many log home enthusiasts.
Consider a square timber porch post design if you plan to build an enclosed porch. The flat sides make easy attach-points for screens or storm windows. Available either rough-sawn or planed, square porch posts reflect a contemporary style in your home. Also available on a limited basis in a hand-hewn finish.
