Tom Ball is the President of Ground Affects Landscaping, Inc. and has been working in the landscape industry since 1990. He obtained a degree in Landscape Horticulture from MATC Mequon in 1993. Tom started the business in 1996 with a few simple goals, to provide quality custom landscapes and complete customer satisfaction.
Ground Affects Landscaping, Inc. is a fast growing landscape company providing complete landscaping services. We specialize in hardscape installations, but also offer lawn mowing and lawn maintenance. We are well respected by our clients for our attention to detail and customer satisfaction. We are always seeking self-motivated, dedicated individuals that can assist and/ or lead our installation and maintenance crews.

We're celebrating OVER 25 years in business serving Jefferson, Waukesha, Dodge, Walworth, Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington Counties! CANCELLED for 2021 Realtors Home & Garden Show at Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park in Milwaukee. That dwarf varieties of shrubs and trees require less pruning and shaping and in general are low maintenance.
My wife and I had a mess of a yard after having (2) new wells put in. I contacted Ground Affects to get an estimate on having final grading and seeding done to fix the mess that was left behind. From start to finish of the process I was impressed with Tom and his team. To start with, Tom showed up on time to our estimate appointment.

These guys were excellent to work with! Their hardscape and landscape designs were wonderful. They listened to what I was looking for and provided the beautiful natural bird/butterfly garden I dreamed of. The landscape foreman incorporated last minute requests without blinking an eye and had great suggestions and did little extras he saw fit. I would definitely use Ground Affects Landscaping again!

Ground Affects did a transformation of a large, overgrown front planter and a sunken lannon stone walkway, and we are very satisfied with the results. We were able to work directly with Tom, the owner, who was very professional and made sure we understood the proposal before the work was commenced. They were able to reuse many of our plants and remove the unwanted trees/shrubs. The crew did an excellent job in just a couple of days to transform the look of our front yard and drastically improve our curb appeal! These folks are incredibly good. Highly professional. Always on time. Affordable. They have taken care of our lawn for several years. Weed control and fertilization. Our lawn is beautiful due to their expertise. We also had Tom and his crew build a stone patio and a retaining wall at our residence. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Very creative competent craftsmen.

They are the absolute best! I live two hours away from my parents, due to health issues they need to be able to get to set appointments during the week and on snowy days I never have to worry about if this will be a challenge for them. I can’t say enough about the peace of mind I get from knowing they don’t ever need to worry about if they will be able to get out of the driveway after a snow storm. Thank you Ground Affects!
