Mike's Heating & Air Conditioning

My air conditioning went out over the Labor Day weekend, right when temperatures were hitting 117. I called Mike's on Labor Day morning, expecting them to be closed. To my surprise they answered, happened to be in a neighboring city, and even though they weren't open that day, could be at my home within an hour. Thirty minutes later they were here, quickly diagnosed my problem (a bad capacitor) and my AC was up and running again.

Mike gave me a detailed consultation over the phone, diagnosed our likely problem (over the phone) based on his experience and gave me an accurate quote of what it would take to fix it. Mike went above and beyond with his delivery, was great about following up when we needed it, and he checked on us after he completed his work.

Mike was able to fix the older air conditioning that we have, and we are going to use him to upgrade to a new unit eventually

Mike was awesome! We had him come out to fix my mom's super old ac last year and he came out immediately. Replaced a part and said it was just a temporary fix because the ac was over 20 years old. This year the ac broke again and we decided to get it replaced. Called Mike up and he showed up within 30 minutes. Replaced the ac, coils, condenser all within 2 days. I've called Mike a few times over the years and he's ALWAYS very helpful. We finally had to replace our compressor (after 35 years!) and haven't had any problems since. I just recently called him because it didn't turn on, and he came by within a couple of hours. Turns out it was an electrical issue and he even recommended an electrician to me. Great guy and great service!

Over the years, I've used Mike's on a number of occasions for both my home and rental properties. I've Never been disappointed; but rather, always find myself "glad" that there are still a few service companies with talent, reliability, ethics, and Very reasonably priced. Mike's definitely deserves "referrals" and "repeat business".

Our air conditioner was not working in the early morning. I called Mike's at 6:00am and he came out at 7:00 that same morning as promised! He took care of the problem right away. Good guy who was knowledgeable, nice and effective. We are grateful for his speedy response and professionalism.

Replaced a 35 year old furnace and AC which used Freon. Due to Government ban on Freon in 2019 the Feds are allowing for a tax write off on these old units. Got a new unit from Mike. He did a superb job. We are paying less for the electric bill and hopeful off Tax refund.

Look elsewhere if you want work done well. Mike does the bare minimum. He is appealing to people looking to save a few bucks but be warned he does the least amount of work as possible. If you want your heating and air done right, look elsewhere.
Mike thinks he knows everything and you will spend more money in the long run finding someone to fix his mistakes.

Excellent service, very knowledgeable, extremely personable. On a week where every AC company told me I needed to wait a week or more for an appointment. Mike's heating & AC arrived withing 2 hours. Not only did Mike and Brian remedy the issue at hand, but gave me tips on how to prevent the issue in the future, and to keep my eye on potential issues that may occur. Their professionalism, and friendly demeanor, are just a few reasons on why I will be recommending Mike's Heating and Air conditioning to everyone I know who needs AC service.

Mike came out within a few hours of my initial call to take a look at my A/C unit that had unexpectedly quit the day before. He took one look at it and within 15 minutes he had it back running and cooling like a champ.

My stupidity over trying to save a lizard that had fallen into the unit. I had pulled the top cover off and in doing so allowed a bracket to fall down into the unit and obstruct the fan which then overheated the motor. Thankfully the motor's built in failsafe shutdown went into effect and the unit shut itself down.

Our A/C is leaking water, called mike. And came next morning on time. We have the a/c system installed 12 years ago by Mike.This is the first time we called for service. He flushes the pipe both ways and check the freon, washed the compressor exterior. Told me how to do the simple maintenance. Very nice guy, I would highly recommend their service, good to have this local company.

Mike is the best person for any of your heating and air conditioning repairs. After contacting other businesses in the area who wanted to sell you a new air conditioning unit instead of fixing an existing problem he replaced the problem part for a fraction of the price. He is very professional and did a wonderful job. This is the second time I have used his services and will be calling him in the future.

Absolutely horrible attitude and service. I cant believe they could be a part of the walnut community. I have lived here for over 20 years and i cant understand how they can still be in business with their type of incompetent attitude and stuck up service.
