While most of us associate double-hung windows as the classic window style for suburbia, sliding windows come in at a very close second. In Colorado, where most homes have basements with large windows, you'll find that these are typically sliding windows. They are easy to open and are more affordable than other types of windows.
Double hung (or single hung) windows are the classic window style most people think about. Nearly every home has one or both of these styles somewhere in the house. Single hung windows have a stationary top pane and the bottom panel slides upward, locking in position. A double hung window allows both the bottom pane and the top pane to slide up or down.

Really really impressed with Bestview Windows and Siding. I worked closely with Gary, the owner, after sustaining substantial hail damage to our home. He replaced all our windows and half of the siding on the house. He did a great job working with us through what I'm sure was a very complicated request (due to insurance needs).
