Alder & Elder is a furniture and home-dcor manufacturing company located in Sherwood, Oregon. We began as a small shop located in a single car garage building commissioned home furnishing and milling instrument grade lumber. We have since grown to encompass 24 acres where we bring Walnut, White Oak, Red Alder, Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar logs to be processed, milled, kiln dried and used for our custom furniture and home dcor clients.

We also had them build us a king sized bed made out of reclaimed wood with matching nightstands. We showed them a picture of what we were looking for and they far exceeded our expectations.

We have had Mike at Alder and Elder build multiple pieces of furniture for us. He built a beautiful coffee table and sofa table. The craftsmanship is the best out there. We also had Mike build us a king sized bed made out of reclaimed wood with matching nightstands. We showed him a picture of what we were looking for and he far exceeded our expectations. His work is hands down the most beautiful, best built furniture in our home. If you are looking for high quality, custom furniture at very reasonable costs, Mike is your man.

Excellent customer service and craftsmanship! My wife and I had been looking at having a dining room table built for some time and had looked on Etsy, FB and Instagram. We had seen some postings of work that Alder & Elder had done for other clients and called them to ask about their ability to build custom furniture. After working through the design, size and stain colors, Mike and his crew built a table for us that was beyond our expectations! We are very thankful we chose this company and have referred them to other friends and acquaintances.

I can’t say enough about the quality of work and craftsmanship in the pieces that Alder & Elder has created for us. Ordered a farm table with chairs, never been more impressed. The craftsman and detail is absolutely perfect. We were building a new home at the time so I decided to have him do more. He came to our house and while talking to him he provided all our cedar for our outside porches and our inside ceiling. We thought it was cool that it was all milled in Sherwood. Since then he has built us a buffet table, entry table and huge shelve and a outdoor box for a TV which ended up being a work of art. You will not be disappointed in his work. He is a perfectionist. I’ve got more compliments on my furniture

I placed my order on February 24, 2020 . After not receiving my order mid March I contacted the owner Mike S. He apologized said there was a mix up with the inline orders . He felt so bad and wanted to make it right he said he was going to send me an extra set of shutters for my inconvenience... he stated my order was going out In the mail that night . April 24th I still haven’t received my order , emailed Mike again finally got a response that due to covid my order had to be cancelled which made no since sense my order was suppose to be going out that evening we spoke on the phone . I ordered
