Don and his family are 4th and 5th generation Camano Islanders. Back in 1989, Don decided to start up a company after years of painting family and friends' houses, and obtaining some wonderful feedback. Since then, DG Hopkins Painting has continually been the top tier painting company on the island, specializing in just about anything that's needed from a painting contractor.
We offer up to a 5 year warranty on all of our projects, depending on the location. But (don't tell anyone) we're pretty good at coming out to fix anything after as well, at no cost. We strive for the definition of top tier quality, and our workmanship will prove that. Our team at D.G. Hopkins Painting enjoy working on all shapes and sizes--whether big or small, we do it all!

Alright. We dealt with two other companies, not sure if I'm allowed to bring up their names, but oh my gosh they were a horrible mistake. They had decent reviews but it was so wrong, they tried upselling us on materials, and one of them didn't abide by their warranty. DG has been such an outlier and a blessing--Nancy helped us with colors, and Don and the crew made sure we loved everything before they left. They were tremendous, and I highly recommend them to anyone.

We've known the Hopkins family for a long time and they've been a part of our house upkeep for the entire tenure on the island. We've never had anything but wonderful experiences with these guys, and we'd never try anyone else around here. We know that the island has some issues when it comes to contractors, so we've strayed as much as we could from most of them, but DG Hopkins Painting has destroyed that reputation. You guys are awesome!!

Don Hopkins and his family (Nancy, Forrest and Paul) painted all the soffits and trim on our recently purchased 25-year-old home on Camano Island in July/August of 2017 (we moved to the island less than two years ago). The painting was long overdue and sorely needed, and several large wooden trim boards as well as one of the four columns on our front porch were badly rotted and needed repair or replacement, as well.
