Upon impact of hail, the hail stone damages the surface of the shingle and removes the protective shingle granules. When this happens it allows for heat and sunlight to reach the unprotected shingle surface. This causes the shingle to begin to degrade and tear. This degradation leads to leaking roofs.

I would never ever recommend K 1 Construction. They lied about what was being done. When it would be done. They were rude to us and our neighbor when we kept calling to get answers on work schedule. They did not care if work had been done or how it had been done. It is ELEVEN months since we hired them and finish were is still not done. Definitely a NO

After purchasing a home that had a legal document that stated they would still complete the work even though I was not the homeowner at the time of initial claim, I am still waiting for the work to be finished 8 months after purchasing the home. The initial claim was from June 2019. I originally used them back with my first house and they closed the claim and filed it to my insurance saying it was completed even though they never came to do the project. Poor book keeping on their part and do not return calls in a timely manner.

Love this company! Alex worked directly with the insurance company so I did not have to. He was able to get money for repairs that the adjuster had missed. I felt they were very professional. Alex checked on work being done by his workers. He came after they were finished to check and make sure nothing was left in the yard. Best roofing company that we have dealt with when hail has hit. I would definitely recommend them!

Very unprofessional all around from start to UNFINISHED. The crew was left unsupervised. Among many things he promised he never fulfilled, no regard for personal property, one of the crew was witnessed urinating in the open next to their trailer, they covered roof vents with tin intending to shingle over, they threw material onto my garden after saying they wouldn't, zero regard! Carelss removal of material falling down into vents. This is not a company I would recommend if you have other options. They broke contract and never finished after they were upset by a negative review of how unprofessional
