We are a family owned and operated business located in beautiful Southern Illinois. The Jack family has deep roots in Southern Illinois. Our ancestors came here in early 1800's and settled in the Johnson, Williamson, and Jackson counties, and we have been here ever since. For more than 180 years we have made our living as farmers, welders, miners, pastors, engineers, carpenters, and businessmen.
We have lots of experience in all types of remodeling projects. Over the past 50 years we have done projects like room additions, kitchen remakes, bathroom remodels, and decks, boardwalks and pergolas. We've built standalone garages or attached them. We have converted patios into three-season rooms.
We have been building homes for over 50 years in all sizes big and small. We have built tiny lake cabins, small affordable starter homes, large luxury homes, and everything in between. We are custom home builders. We are not developers with only a couple kinds of houses to choose from. We are not limited to building the house plan that is closest to what you can find.

Just want people to know the experience we had with this company if they are building a new home. I would not recommend this company if you are having a new home constructed. After our home was finished the final price ended up being $20 thousand over the original bid, much of that due to additional rock for foundation fill for the front and back porch which were both already in the original plan and bid.
We also ended up with a crawl space that took on water. Butch did try to fix the leaky crawl space for over a year by trying to apply waterproofing products inside the wall of the crawl space

Over the course of the past ten years we have used Jack Home Construction for several projects. The most recent job was the construction of a deck and pergola. Butch and his sons did a great job. They were professional, honest and delivered exactly what we wanted on time and within the budget we discussed. I highly recommend them.
