So I called Cody as per the "owners" suggestion from my original review. He stated that the windows were done and ready to be installed. Never addressed our issues of selling the home just wanted to immediately schedule the installation. Well they came to do the install and 2 of the patio doors were incorrect (one could not even be installed at all because it was completely wrong) two of them were suppose to open and they installed stationary windows. First I just want to say that the manager responded to my first comment and said that NSW tried to call me that day. They did not. My husband and I sat in the garage for over four hours with phones in hand and never recv'd a call until I called and said the windows delivered were incorrect. I imagine someone told him they tried to call but must have misdialed.

I hired new south windows because they manufacture here in Florida and the windows are a good product. The people they hire to install the product is another story. I had to instruct the installers not to use pressure treated lumber under the aluminum trim because it will rot the aluminum in a few months. They also tried to install the old cedar trim that was originally on my house and not use new cedar. The contract read, and salesman stateted new cedar to be installed. The entire experience could have been better. I ordered 5 windows and a new door in April. The windows were installed in August yet not the door. The door had been incorrectly measured and the team installing the windows apologized stating it would be a couple of weeks to get the door corrected and back out to complete the install. Over many weeks I was told the door was in the mill shop and they were working on getting the door corrected to the right size.
Ten weeks later my door was finally installed. It took several phone calls and time out of my day to get this moving. For the money I paid

Be forewarned.
I could easily spend an hour typing out the details of my horror story, but New South has drained my energy. It's been over a year, and they still have not completed my job. I can sadly relate to soooo many of the bad reviews, as I have never experienced this level of lying, poor craftsmanship and frustration ever before in my 68 years on this planet.
This is not to say that you may not love them and have the best experience of your life, but read the reviews..... But do you really want to take that chance with the largest monetary investment you will probably ever make

We called NewSouth windows for an estimate on replacing about 5 windows.
A fast talking, know it all salesman showed up telling me that he knew windows and would tell me what I needed. He started by telling me I was in an impact zone and that I would have to install impact windows. I don't believe that is true but I allowed him to continue. When I asked about non-impact windows I was told that Florida would not allow it. I know that's not true. His attitude and demeanor was aggressive and pushy and after about fifteen minutes we asked him to leave. Be careful with this company!

I can tell you about my experience so far with #Newsouthwindows that is currently ongoing.
I completed hours of research and received bids from three other window installation companies. New South was the most expensive by far just under $10k higher from the next highest bid. I researched all of the companies and all but one other had at least a negative review. I took their company size into consideration in combination with the fact they were higher than the next highest bid. I believe in paying for quality and seeing the quality of the windows compared with others was the deciding factor

Giving three stars is a stretch. We ordered 14 windows, entry door, and half radius circle above door, traveled back to Florida for install. When installer arrived they were short the 2 sidelights, door and half radius circle of which we were told only thing missing is the half radius circle of which we were fine with. After first day of install we had 5 cracked window sills, a window installed that was cracked in transport to our home, thinking a new window should have been ordered not merely told they will replace the glass after all we are paying for a new product not a repaired product

We signed a contract with New South Windows October 2020. Seven (7) months later, well after their agreed upon time frame of 14-26 weeks of completion, the windows and the slider doors first day of installation began. The installers were friendly yet did not 100% follow their own installation protocols. There was a thunderstorm the first two days of installation and only one window had a drop cloth. They left dirty shoe prints on new tile, new flooring, dirty walls from handling. Upon completion of the first day of installation, we first and foremost noticed the noise in addition to the mess left

Horrible Service!! I had a consultation for a windows and doors quote and the man refused to sit down with me because my husband was not present. He said it was "complicated" and that my husband needed to be there to proceed. I kindly explained that I was capable of listening and understanding quotes and didn't need my husband present to make a decision. He refused to explain further so I asked him to leave. This company just lost a potential client and I will be telling all of my friends and family to not work with this company since they do not provide service without husbands

We checked out many window companies before we settled on Newsouth. We chose Newsouth because they made their windows at their own factory in Florida and it seemed like they were not one of those window middleman who installed the windows but 3 years down the road disappeared when you have a problem. They used interior trim on the exterior. It fell apart and had to be replaced. They took gaskets off doors to try and make them work. They used a razor knife to carve off a pice of door to try and make it slide properly.... didn't work. They installed one door with the operating door on the wrong side. They cut my surround sound wire in a way that it can not be replaced.
We have been trying for two years to have these things fixed and get excuses and false promises.

Cody Green the production manager did in fact contact me and has since come to my home to view newly installed windows. Going to replace broken windowsill, fix the one installed crooked. They will also replace another windowsill that was previously cracked but was broke in half on install. On the exterior sliding glass door. Apparently there are two options, the stucco band/frame at a 600.00 upcharge or a composite/pvc casing that looks like wood. Something my sales person neglected to tell me. We had New South Windows on two separate occasions even though they are a little pricey. The first experience was fine but the second one is totally disappointing. We expected high quality on all product and workmanship. The problem isn't the quality of the product; it is on the exterior finishing of the windows. We were told that there "may" be some work that the homeowner has to do but certainly wasn't expecting the shoddiness of the finishing painting work outside. We do want to replace more windows but won't be calling them back. Read the reviews, people.

Improper install. After waiting 23 weeks for my product to be installed, 3 of my 10 windows (adjacent double hungs) were installed such that each window is cockeyed with the adjoining one. Looking at the window from several feet away you can easily see a broken horizontal line across the center of the window opening. The installer and "production manager" argued with me that the windows were hung straight, but my opening wasnt square and level. We believe the 6 sets of sliding doors we purchased from NewSouth are top quality. But the customer service AFTER purchase is atrocious. We could never get the attention of the sales person once problems popped up. And the customer service desk was a mess in terms of scheduling appointments for follow-up steps in the process.

Our project was just completed, all went very well during the installation process. And while I thought it would be hard to get excited about new doors and windows, turns out the difference is startling.
First, our home is flooded in a good way with light now that the old/original sliders and some windows have been replaced. They were tinted with old style film and over time obscured the view in addition to blocking too much of the daylight. The quality of the glass is so much better that everything looks so clearly - kind of like going from low def to high definition TV.

Okay just a quick heads up. The windows look nice, and will hopefully protect my home from hurricane damage. BUT DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE! After shelling out 14k for 9 windows and 1 slider door, they have done NOTHING to bring down my power bill. I've been paying MORE since their installation, which makes no sense. I have a new roof, so that's not the problem either.
