All ideas begin with a problem that needs to be solved. In 1992, much of the country was using incandescent light which produces only 5% light and 95% heat. With Marvin Feig (Good Earth Lighting President)'s passion for energy savings, he partnered with Alex Kowalenko (Co-Founder Research & Development) to develop and provide a decorative line of energy-efficient residential products with compact fluorescent lighting technology.
They started in a garage with a desk and sold their first energy-efficient light fixture at True Value. Quickly, they continued to grow product lines and expand into more retailers as the demand for more affordable, customizable, energy-efficient products as we entered the new millennium.
When LED technology became more available, they were speed to market, adapted, and converted to the new LED technology in all lighting fixtures for the residential market.In 2016, Good Earth launched long-lasting USB rechargeable and battery-operated solutions and partnered with Command Strips by 3M for damage-free mounting solutions to accommodate anyone that loves wireless products that are easily accessible and always available.

I purchased a security light and had installed by an electrician. It would not work as a security light and only as an outdoor light. After numerous calls and attempts at trying different items by company representatives, they concluded I had a bad photocell and I needed to purchase a new one and return my old one for reimbursement. Their representative told me I was unfortunately stuck for both charges for installation. Never again for a Patriot item!

Awesome company with great customer service. I purchased an outside motion LED spot light. Had it for about 2 years. Light stopped working. I no longer had my receipt. I was instructed by the representative I had on the phone as to what to do to return it to their company. It has a 5 year warranty. They tested it and determined it was defective and are sending out a new fixture to me. This all took only about 10 days.

We purchased the 2 pack under counter touchless LED light bar. Within four weeks the motion sensor overheated and failed to turn lights off or dim. The reason we purchased the product was for the motion sensor. Unfortunately, we cannot locate our receipt to return. Good Earth will do nothing without a "scanned receipt". Good Earth does not offer replacement parts for this product. Cannot find this product on Good Earth website either. Will not purchase from this company again.
