My personal experience with Lakeside Self Storage has had its ups and downs. I have rented a storage unit from this place for over 10 years. I really liked them at first. They seem to keep bugs and mice away from my property and the management were nice enough. But in the last couple of years I have not been as pleased. The storage unit is always super dusty and I'm finding dead mice in my belongs. The rent keeps going up but the care and maintenance of this facility has gone down the hill.

Okay service, they don't send or call you if your going to be late with payment.. most places send you a notice so if you have forgotten to make your payment you can go by before your late fee tacks on!!!! You get your notification after it's too late! That sucks!! Also, security gate always open and no security cameras anywhere!! Nowadays they all record activity, coming and going, HERE?? NOPE!! NEED TO CATCH UP WITH THE TIMES. MWR.

This place is a huge rip-off. There is a banner outside on the wall saying first month $1 and $49 a month first 3 months...he actually charged my husband $89 and when I questioned him he said oh no that's for a 6 month contract....when I pointed out it doesn't say that..he said sorry about that...now emptying the unit on the 9th day of the month he still wants a full month plus another 40.. total $130.. Misrepresention ...plus could not drive the car in because our sits low and the driveway has a rise ...it scaped the bottom of the car....there are better and more honest storage facilities around
