Calico Landscape was formed out of a desire to provide excellent landscape service in a timely manner. Specializing in small jobs, Calico Landscape can perform quality work, with minimal overhead, at a low cost to the customer. The company was started in 2009 by Ken Graves. Ken is a former Director of Agronomy of Pelican Hill Golf Club, in Newport Coast.
His experience in horticulture, arboriculture, turfgrass, and construction spans many years. He has a degree in Turfgrass Management, is a California Certified Nurseryman, a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture, a Certified Pest Control Applicator, a Certified Golf Course Superintendent, and a licensed Landscape Contractor.

Ken is the nicest guy and his crew does excellent work. I had them make a cement wall taller, and create a dog yard with gates, cement, artificial grass, drainage and lights. However, I stupidly paid in full before all work was complete, and in spite of numerous calls and texts (numerous!) my project wasn't completed (cement was never sealed.) Also the date palm they planted started dying after a couple of months. After speaking with him 2-3 times, saying he'd come by and take care of it, he never did.

Ken at Calico Landscaping just completed my project in a new home in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA. He and his crew were here everyday and complete the job on time. Their work was perfect and they completed the job per my specifications. They even made small changes for me along the way without discussion. I could not have been happier. The price was right and very reasonable compared to estimates we received from others.
