Services
The owner, James Hooper, was born in England, where he started developing his construction skills at an early age from his father, a General Building Contractor, who gave his son great insight into the building trades. From there, he attended trade school and became a Journeyman Mason/Bricklayer and worked on numerous large projects around London and other parts of Europe.
For years, we have struggled with a deck, off of our master bedroom that leaked and made a huge mess. JH Custom Homes was the first contractor that instantly knew what the problem was, more importantly, knew how to fix it RIGHT. We hired James (James Hooper, the "JH" in JH Custom Homes) to remodel the laundry room in our new home.

John build a very sturdy x-ray cabinet for our practice. His measurements were spot on, and he did a beautiful job building it, staining and installing it to withstand the weight of many years of x-rays and to earthquake standards. AND, he did this while his crew was constructing a very challenging overhanging balcony for a large cliff side home.

JH Custom Homes remodeled the whole kitchen in my new home. They did an amazing job and I'm very happy I went with them. I had called other company's to come do the job and they just didn't seem as ready for it as JH was. A big thank you to them for doing the best job they could've done. My husband and I called a few places, but when we spoke with James, we felt more comfortable. He was professional and the kitchen remodel came out great! My husband noted the attention to detail that he provided - even on the small things that you don't really see unless you're looking. We'll definitely be calling again for the bathroom, which is next on the list.

James did a remodel on our Dana Point 4-unit condo in 2011 and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. He checked in with us every step of the way, was on-site most of the time (I'm guessing about 95%) and his crew was very attentive, friendly and respectful. He also made suggestions for improvement along the way and his expertise in construction was evident. He finished the job on-time and kept the disruption to our daily lives to a minimum!

Our house recently sprung a water leak which required extensive work for restoring the interior drywall and exterior stucco to its original appearance. After speaking with James Hooper, it was apparent that he was a straightforward kind of guy and was a detail oriented person.
